What an amazing place!!! We were already exited to stay at beautiful Pasut Beach in a beach front house and it looked so stylish from the profile photos already but experiencing it in person just blows you away.
The area already gives you goose bumps, there is something about the beautiful rice fields and villages you drive through to get to Pasut that showers you with calm and Balinese style bliss.
Entering the brand new property was another revelation as this big looking house is almost intimidating driving up but that is only until you enter and you are enveloped in style and comfort and it's topped up with such a lovely greeting by the house keepers, too. The house is a dream in white, grey and wood tones with carefully selected decorations that while monochromatic and natural, create such a nice atmosphere that doesn't ask anything from you, it just lets you be and while completely modern connects to the atmosphere outside. The indoor-outdoor bathrooms are so stunning and the fluffy towels and beds so comfy, it feels like home just way better. So much attention to details, too! The downstairs and upstairs lounge have stunning pool and sea views and the whole day you hear the lullaby of the surf in the background asking you to go with the flow and relax.
As a foodie I have to point out the kitchen, which is stunning and so well equipped that you literally have anything you need to cook yourself and as we like to do that, we really appreciate it. Having said that we were a bit apprehensive about how we would be organising food & beverages but the villa butlers not only stock the fridge for you on request, they take your orders during your stay for shopping, can point you to quite a few restaurants in the area to eat AND Ibu Lilic is an amazing cook. Try their Urap Sayur and Young Jackfruit Curry! Our kids had spaghetti bolognese for lunch and homemade pizza for dinner!! We also ventured out to Warung Tulus Lobster and loved the simple local vibe, fresh sea food and live music with our feet in the sand.
I have to comment on the location as we were not so sure if staying all the way out at Pasut Beach is right for us. We thought not being in easy driving distance to Canggu might make us feel isolated BUT the drive already takes away that concern and you remember what Bali really is + we wanted to just unwind anyways + the villa offer everything you need!
Being right at the beach front with a stunning, wide black sand beach and a place nestled into the rice paddies, you remember what bliss is and that all other things are just distractions.
The host was nice to chat to and super responsive when organising our stay. He arranged a pick up for us, took our in-villa dining and shopping order so we were all set for arrival. We got tips where we can go for dinner, spa and yoga, how far it is for our onwards journey etc.
We cannot wait to come back for more black sand beach bliss at...
Read moreI could write a book on our experience at Villa Lux. But then no one is going to read this review! I stayed at the villa with my family for a little over a week and we really enjoyed ourselves! The villa is luxurious, clean, has lots of facilities for every age, a large garden with pool and direct access to the beach. In real life it is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The residence is like a private hotel. Where everything is done for you, but you still enjoy being in your own bubble. The crew is so incredibly friendly and take very good care of you. We also had lunch and dinner several times in the villa, and wow what a cooking skills of Lilik. We also booked massages several times. Best massages ever!
In advance you already have good contact with the owners and you can ask anything you want. Any comments are very well received and a solution found that works for everyone.
The location of the villa is a bit more remote from the tourist places. We had picked it for that as well. But keep in mind: if you want to explore the island, many places will take you a while to get around. So should you really go to Bali to see everything, I would mainly stay at Villa Lux for a few days to relax, eat and enjoy the sun and the pool. And then continue to stay in multiple places so you don't spend a lot of time driving...
Read moreI recommend this villa to everyone! My girlfriend and I visited the Pasut Beach nearby and could not hire any taxi drivers. We came across this lovely villa and Lily, the manager, helped us with finding a friendly driver and offered us free drinks while waiting. She also showed us around with a genuine smile on her face. The vibe was just superb!...
