Maisaba — Hotel in Pulau Bali

I liked that it was spacious. The bed was comfortable. It's nice to have the separated sleeping area and living room a little separated and to have a couch and a smart TV. There is a fridge and a kitchenette in the room with plates, forks, spoons, and cups. For knives and a stove, you have to go to the shared kitchen area. The bathroom sometimes smelled weird but I would still say that the place was cleaned well. My biggest issue is the communication with the manager and the staff. Pretty much all of the numbers that I was given (by them personally before moving in, by Booking app) and the ones I found online (Google Maps) have continuously ignored me. I tried to reach them before booking via the app after I came to see the place in person. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on to book via the Booking app. The number provided on Booking also ignored me. Basically, I had been ignored for about 2 weeks before moving in, and then 1 week after, until there was an issue with the bathroom. It took a lot of talking, asking, and almost begging with the staff until they let me talk to the manager. Turns out it was one of the numbers that had already been ignoring me for 3 weeks on a different inquiry. The manager then made false promises and lied about a few things, avoiding accountability and not apologizing for lying to me. She then sent a staff member to apologize (instead of apologizing for her own lies). The staff gave me her number to contact her on the bathroom issue , and it turned out that I also already had her number because she had also been ignoring me for 3 weeks until that point. Basically, you will get a bunch of numbers that all don't seem to work unless there's a bigger issue, and then you should not expect to be treated with honesty, respect, and accountability.

To be fair, they did fix the bathroom issue. I'm grateful for that, but I still don't appreciate being lied to and the lack of accountability and honesty.

That being said, some minor things that weren't for me: it was quite dark inside because there is only one small window. And even after fixing the shower, the water would not stay warm for a long time. These things are personal preferences, so if you don't mind that, it's still a nice and clean room. Just dont expect good communication.

Aku nginep di Maisaba baru-baru ini, dan jujur aja, tempatnya enak banget. Dapat dari Agoda dengan harga yang cukup ramah di kantong. Reviewnya banyak positif jadi aku percaya, dan ternyata emang sesuai review dan kenyataannya.

Suasananya tenang, jauh dari kebisingan. Pas banget buat yang pengen istirahat beneran. AC-nya dingin, jadi kamar selalu sejuk, terus ada kulkas juga buat nyimpen makanan sama minuman. Praktis kalau tetiba laper tengah malam dan mager keluar.

Dapurnya juga lengkap, bisa bikin kopi sendiri atau nyeduh popmie. TV-nya udah digital, jadi bisa nonton channel Indonesia kayak biasa. Wifi-nya juga kenceng, nggak ada drama buffering.

Memang lokasinya agak jauh dari pusat kota, tapi ke Tanah Lot cuma sekitar 30 menitan aja naik motor. Cuma ya, kalau lewat jalan raya Dalung, kudu siap sabar karena suka macet. Tapi kalau nggak buru-buru sih, masih wajar lah, cuma tetap hati-hati aja karena tipe jalan yang sempit.

Walaupun akses jalan lumayan sempit, tapi masuk ke Maisaba cukup luas dan parkirannya juga bisa nampung sekitar 3-4 mobil dan lebih dari 10-15 motor.

Minus kecilnya cuma satu: ada bau kurang sedap di kamar mandi. Nggak terlalu mengganggu sih, tapi sempat kecium. Tapi ngga masalah sih, soalnya kamarnya sendiri bersih banget dan estetik. Dan kalau mandi, bau sabun cukup untuk ngilangin bau yang kurang enak tadi.

Secara keseluruhan sih aku puas banget nginep di sini. Tempatnya nyaman, fasilitas lengkap bikin betah banget, dan cocok buat yang cari ketenangan. Next ke Bali, pengen balik...
