Excellent and I mean EXCELLENT customer service here at Pondok Eka Wood! Whenever I'd order food via Gojek or Grab and the drivers don't really know where this villa was, all I had to do was ask the front lobby staff to help our drivers find us and that they did! I communicated with the staff via their Whatsapp and I was in shock to find out on my first day here that there were staff 24/7! My 1 week stay here at Pondok Eka Wood Villa was supremely fantastic. I loved how crazy quiet every night of rest was in my room (compared to an apartment back in the big city in the USA lol), the private infinity pool, the natural aesthetic of the bathroom (wood, stone, roof top sun window for natural light to come in from above!), and we can't forget the AC UNIT, it is a NECESSITY with how hot and humid Ubud was during my stay. Always looked forward to coming back to my room with a great big smile to feel that comfortable cool air against my skin! If you've read this far, don't hesitate to book, just DO IT! You will...
Read moreWe stayed here 2 times. The first time was a blast. Quiet ,peacefull and a beautiful view.
The second time we arrived after a very long journey at night and we got another bungalow which was smaller. Then we got woken up by construction noise right next door around 8am at morning. We were not able to move to anotehr villa that same day becuse the villa we booked was booked by someone else too. We moved to the bungalow we had previously booked and unfortunately there were constructions too from 3 different directions. The constructions here will go on for a while. It woupd be such a beautiful place without all the noise going on.
They should also have some quite time rules for all guest. During our first stay and a couple decided to turn the music up at 12am.
The staff is very lovely and they made the day after our anniversary...
Read moreWe loved the 7 nights we spent at Eka Wood. It was peaceful and a deeply relaxing place to stay, due in no small part to the daily Hindu spiritual offerings that reminded us about the importance of reverence and gratitude in our lives. The staff were attentive and responsive without being obtrusive. The Eka Wood Cafe is about a 5 min walk from the villas and provides excellent meals. The daily rhythms of the workers in the rice fields the villas look out on was deeply calming. Our souls felt rejuvenated. Maybe a few more cooking utensils would be helpful eg pots, coffee mugs, teatowels, toaster etc for those of us who like to cook some of our own meals. Highly recommend Pondok Eka Wood and would...
