We found this place by recommendation of a villa manager in Soedoen. Luckily, this place is the best staying I had during our trip in Rote. People said, simple is cheap. This place is simple, cheap but the quality is better than more expensive accommodations in Rote. Several villas in a row. Each villa have one room and double beds, an overlooking terrace to the sea and open air large bathroom. No AC but don't worry this place has sea breeze and a fan to calm your day 🌞 I didn't get mosquito bite during my staying. Comfortable cleaned mattress and pillows made me sleep well. Ef, the owner, is very friendly and flexible. He allows us to use kitchen to cook our meals. They served bread and tea/coffee for breakfast. Some villas are still built. Kitchen still needs some touch up. This place was very brand new when we were staying there. The sea view and wave sounds make this place special. Give it a try!

Really great value, highly recommend. Locally owned and run, which adds a lot of character. There are 10 individual bungalows all facing a central garden area. A few are angled towards the ocean, which is just a dozen steps down from the property. The community eating/cooking building has several tables and you can cook your own meals in the kitchen. They do offer scooters for rent, but the best part about this place is the value. It feels like a hidden gem, at the end of a bumpy road there is this bungalow place with really nice private bungalows with great beds and nice bathrooms, plus an awesome view, what more could you ask for?

Stayed there for 2 nights. Beautiful view and sunset. The room was so clean and we had an open air bathroom. Nice, friendly, helpful staff especially Mr. Jems the manager. However, the location is off the beaten track, took about 5-7 minutes riding a motorbike to the infamous Nembrala beach. We went there during Covid 19 (15-17 August) so there's no option for breakfast (bread only), no other guests. Overall, it is worth the price and I recommend it.

Don’t bother with this place. Service abysmal, expensive for what is on offer, a long way from the town to find food as the restaurant advertised is closed. Rooms a good size with aircon but bathroom offers no shelter when it rains and no soap or toilet paper provided. The rooms were not ready on our arrival although they were pre booked and paid for. The breakfast the first day was barely edible and the second day the staff turned up at 8.00 after church to serve us breakfast requested at 7.30. They only really got into gear when we went into the kitchen to prepare everything ourselves! All in all a very disappointing experience. We hear the property is now closing for a few months. The owner should really do some serious work on staff training and general cleaning before reopening if he wants to attract new business next year. A full time manager who is always nearby...
