Kayu Arum Resort — Hotel in Salatiga

This is my first visit to Kayu Arum after 9 years of break. My previous visit was back in 2015. And unlike the previous visit, where I would only stay for one night, to maximize the experience, I decided to spend 2 nights here. |Overall, it's a satisfactory experience, although the hotel must do some improvements in several fields. |The room that I chose was the standard room which has a classic feel, with modern amenities. |What I like most about this hotel is the serene courtyard garden which truly gave guests from the cacophony of the outside world. |I also like the complimentary welcome massage. Although it only lasted for 10 minutes, it's one of the best massages I've ever had. |However, on my second morning, I noticed something that was out of place. Apparently, they played the music through the loudspeaker in the garden. And the chosen genre was pop-rock which is really out of place for the idyllic setting of the resort garden. It really ruined the peaceful of the place. They should either playing Javanese Gamelan music, or maybe better if no music at all like on my first morning in here!|And the placement of the toilet in the shower room is too close to the wall, which makes using them rather awkward. |Also, if possible the opening hours of the massage service should be extended by around 8 pm. We often returned back to the hotel tired and wanting to have a massage, only to be told that they were already closed. It's disappointing actually. |Lastly, may I suggest a revision of the breakfast menu? I notice that the menu isn't much different than my previous visit 9...

The hotel is a javanese style hotel with all the antiques and traditions. We used the family room for 3 persons, but we are a family of 4. So it is enough and add additional breakfast for the child. The room is spacious and comfy. Although the lack of windows is something I dont like, but the room itself is well kept. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully designed. *Note : the shower wasnt well kept. I think it would be nice if they had done a little maintenance like making sure the water comes out better. Hot water takes longer time to warm up so make sure to give some time. Breakfast was nice ..enough choices for different taste ..a good place to relax and have a slow breakfast in front of the greeneries garden. But they dont separate smoking area...although it is in the open, it would be nice if the hotel can separate the sitting area .. beside the nice smell of the food is heavy smokers that sometimes dont care about children sitting nearby.... Otherwise it would be lovely Gardens are a beauty ! Must...
