Roemah Abdoe Cafe and Homestay — Hotel in Sumatra

My partner and I had such an amazing stay here! Devi is an incredible host and made us feel so comfortable and welcome. The room is reasonably priced and in a great location.

Devi made us a delicious breakfast each morning and served it on our little porch. Her English is amazing (we speak very little Bahasa) so we really enjoyed our conversations together. We also hired a scooter through Devi for a good price and she gave us tips for some local sightseeing. We arrived late and really appreciated the welcoming tea in our room. The homestay was well maintained and had a very peaceful and natural atmosphere.

This is easily one of our favourite homestays (Devi being a big contributor to that) and we would definitely stay again next time....

The location is perfect, making it so easy to walk to a number of stunning waterfalls and swimming holes.||Devi our host was so warm, friendly and helpful to us. She cooked us beautiful dinner and breakfast. Kept beer cool in the refrigerator for us.||Devi studied agriculture in Australia, she understood us perfectly and explained everything to us in the best English we’ve heard since leaving Australia.||Devi upgraded us to another room free of charge. Staying at Roemah Abdoe was like coming home/ pulang kampung because M’s. Devi was super wonderful. She is very helpful and welcomed us with open arms and big smile!

The location is very convenient and minutes away by foot to 3 different waterfalls nearby. In fact you can see the two waterfalls from our patio.

The kampong Europa/ European village is also nearby like 5 minutes drive or 15 minutes walk.

We rented the big villa for my family and the 2 bedroom for us and my parents. It was perfect setting for family vacation or big group trip.

I will definitely comeback and recommend this place to anyone.
