SUZUYA HOTEL RANTAUPRAPAT — Hotel in Sumatra

The three-star Suzuya Plaza Hotel of Rantau Prapat, which has been in business for about twenty years, is located on the second and third floors of a building integrated with the Suzuya department store plus other shops and restaurants or food stalls on the first floor. Generally, only standard rooms are provided, and the room is standard equipped too. Each room is provided with independent air-conditioning without central air-conditioning system, multi-channel programming TV, tables, chairs and cabinets, standard spring beds, and standard equipped bathrooms. There is a semi-basement and open space parking spaces in front of the hotel, which can barely accommodate dozens of cars. After twenty years or so of operation, the hotel is starting to show some signs of age, and it is not what it used to be when I first came to stay at the hotel when it first opened. But in general, the quality of service can be accommodated, and it will not hinder the comfort of the tenants too much, although there are occasional problems with the cleanliness of bath towels, bedding, and bed sheets. The quality of breakfast is average or above, not rich and luxurious, just serve you not bad consumable breakfast and feel full ! Visitors who is assigned to a room near the center of the building, should pay attention for it, since the window of the room facing the restaurant on the second floor which has void that leads directly to the skylight. Thus, there will be a slight comfort nuisance from noise caused during meal time, especially the tenants who live on the second floor and want to sleep earlier or wake up late for a little longer, need to have some psychological preparations to face this disturbance. That's the fly in the ointment of poor hotel design of room position. The hotel is located close to the bustling urban area, and it is convenient to move around without driving.
