Kristal Hotel is a 3 star hotel centrally located near many restaurants and shops. There is a medium simple lobby with comfortable chairs and sofas. Before check in, tea was offered by the friendly non- English speaking staff ( a staff member was able to use basic English). In fact, every time the staff saw me in the lobby, tea was offered- great hospitality. There aren't many dedicated guest parking spaces and street parking can be difficult during peak times. ||||The simple room was big with a double and two single beds. There was a refrigerator filled with water, a cold air conditioner and a bathroom with toilet/shower combination- no shower curtains. Soap and slippers (used-non disposable) were provided. There were outlets near the bed and reliable free internet was provided.||||There is a restaurant attached to the hotel. It's open all day and is busy. Since I didn't eat there, I can't vouch for the food. It can't be bad since it's always crowded. ||||Kristal Hotel is a good, clean simple hotel, centrally located in Duhok. It's a perfect hotel for the location and the hospitable front desk who'll offer you tea, tea and more tea. Definitely...
Read moreI stayed 1 night at Kristal 5-6 February 2020 with a friend.||The location is easy to find and it is at walking distance from the bazar and not far from many places of interest in town.||The hotel is simple and basic but comfortable enough for a short stay. Services like TV in the rooms and WiFi are provided. It is also very clean, even better than other more expensive places. The bed was also very good: I had a great sleep! The staff is friendly and helpful and they speak some English.||Prices are good for families or groups (price per room vs per person).||The hotel does not serve breakfast: you can have a coffee or a tea in the lobby and you have a wide choice of places for a breakfast in the close surroundings. I had a traditional Kurdish breakfast at the nearby bazar.||Kristal Hotel is definitely a very good choice if you are on a budget and you don't need all the services and amenities of...
Read moreI have booked this Hotel Via booking, and the guy in the reception told me to cancel reservation via booking in order not to pay the rate fee and he can give me with cheaper price. I was with my parents 70 years old parents and the trick and the purpose of giving me the room for cheaper price and cancelling from booking was they were on renovation. The lift was not working we should have used the stairs till 2nd floor, construction staff was working until 3am which we couldn't sleep while we went to the reception to complain they did not stop until 3am. plus second team came next morning at 7am to start work again and we woke up so badly with the sound of drilling and hammering to the wall, we could just sleep few ours, this is so rude and very impolite things to be done to the customers to pay money for their comfort. Never try this kind of place where they disrespect...
