On arrival we were greeted at reception by Yvonne, who was so friendly and helpful. We had booked a superior room but when we opened the door to room number 110, we were overjoyed! What a room, well really a suite! A huge bed, sofa, and even a dining table and chairs! Bed was so comfy, and it was a lovely, comfortable quiet room. My hubby and I availed of a treatment each at the spa, as we had 35 euros each as part of our deal. The 70 euros extra was well worth it for a Swedish massage for hubby and facial for myself. They only have a steam room which we also used, so no pool, sauna etc. We also had vouchers for 25 euros each for dinner. We decided to eat in Teddys bar, and so glad that we did as more livelier and dinner was amazing. We had mains and desserts and only had to put £1 to the dinner (excluding the drink of course). Great bar, with entertainment and you could see there was a lot of locals in also. We decided to have room service for breakfast in the morning, something we never do, but thought we would take advantage of the large dining table and so glad we did. Will definitely book again, great...
Read moreWow! I had a lovely evening, was in Letterkenny for a medical appointment and booked into Silver Tassie for the night; watched a movie whilst having my meal (lovely steak) chatted with a couple of the locals, they went on their way and I went back to my movie. Nobody else at the bar, I was not disturbing anyone till the obviously stressed out barman told me I cannot watch a movie at the bar "this is not a cinema' then said in his opinion I had enough drink, this was 9:30pm, there was a wedding going on! He had just served me an espresso martini and another glass of wine! Im a solo woman doing my thing, engaging in socialising in a public place and he made me feel so unwelcome even though I was booked in for the night. Turns out he is the proprietor. To intimidate a woman on her own who is not bothering anyone nor has any intention to, I find this highly offensive to any solo travellers out there. If you're in the Silver Tassie make sure u don't make conversation with the locals or u will be considered.......... I'm actually not sure what I was judged as being.... Good job I brought a...
Read moreNo welcome from Receptionist upon arrival.. a smile goes along way & it doesn't cost anything!! Had issues with our room .safe not woking & shower-head had a face-cloth around it to stop water spraying everywhere..discovered this this morning when face- cloth fell & I got drenched. ..could easily have slipped, definitely a safety & health issue!! Not at all happy with standard of room, also be aware that hotel is on the side of a busy road so we had to keep windows shut to get any kind of rest.. . Positives: Dinner & breakfast was delicious, staff in bar & restaurant were very attentive to our needs, had a lovely seaweed bath after our arrival, we had been driving in terrible weather so at euro..bath was pricey but relaxing..Megan looked after us very well & we appreciated that.. Nice hotel but a smile & warm welcome goes along way & in this pandemic climate where we all are trying to make our world a safer & better place..Silver Tassie had all the Covid restrictions perfectly fulfiled so in that respect, it is a safe...
