Very fun hotel and not like I've ever seen before. Some things could be better, but some could definitely be worse!
Starting of you have to go to the reception first which is at the pool. The pool is basically a public pool where hotel guests have free access to. It's a good pool and fun to sit inbetween some locals! However if you only want peace and quietness it might be too busy for you.
When you're checked in you need to drive down a pretty long country road/dirt road to get to the actual rooms. It's a fun drive but the distance is quite long. We went to the pool one day and forgot a towel, so had to drive all the way back and forth to get it. You don't just walk into your room and walk back. Also the car was white in dust because of the road.
Room itself was pretty nice! It was old, but clean which is important. Ours even had a hidden kitchen in the closet haha. You had a living room, another part with a huge bathroom and a humongous bedroom. I think the building is an old barn because the ceilings were very high.
The airconditioning was in the 'living room' space which was useful during the day, but when we went to bed 2 rooms further it was really hot inside the room and no way to cool it down.
Unfortunately my WiFi was very slow there but it seems it depended on your phone. We did miss a sofa or some place to chill in the living room. It only had a wooden table with 4 chairs. Also no decorations whatsoever making it quite an empty space with no real life to it. We improvised and moved the second 1-person bed to the living room to use as sofa.
Kitchen was nice to have, but there was no gas attached. We used an electric stove which worked fine. You do need to bring everything yourself like a sponge, dish soap, butter/oil and towels.
I did a beautiful hike around the compound which was very beautiful. There was nobody around and it felt really calm. In the compound and around you had a lot of horses and cows but it didn't really add much since they were too far away to interact with.
Staff was kind and made some jokes. No issues there whatsoever. Breakfast was very very good! Everything was fresh and abundance of choices.
Alghero was very nearby which was great! Easy to get there fast by car. Also the Lidl and some other stores were very close if you need to get some supplies.
All in all I think they could improve some things like making the rooms a bit more inviting with some decorations and maybe try and make the way to the rooms a bit less annoying. Paving the road, removing potholes or something else. A sofa in the room would've been great as well and maybe add some local hiking trails information since I found this trail myself and not sure if I was even...
Read moreI was surprised the rooms are 3km from the main building. This was not clear when I did booked the apartment. So if you want to use the pool, ideally you drive by car from the apartment to the main building. The pool was clear and could. The music was very loud and anoying. Day 1 the water in apartment was not working. We had to ask for the remote control from the aircondition. The kitchen in the room was very poor equipped (but we survivied). The room is cleansed only on befor using it. The terrace was large, but during day it was very hot there without any shadow. The view was on the hill agains the terrace. The nature was there as You could hear wild pigs very close to the buildings. I'm adding also a picture of an electric box not covered and dangerous if children would be around. Driving by car from main building to apartment you will get all...
Read moreThis hotel has a central building with reception, restaurant, bar (closed off-season), swimming pool. The rooms are located 1km away, scattered accross the hills. Great views. Rooms are basic but good. Airco available. The walls are very thin, so you hear the neighbours quite well. Breakfast building is near the rooms (walking distance). Everything was clean. The staff was friendly, but not very customer focused (we couldn't get a coffee during the day). The place was a bit deserted as the season was over (mid September). We paid €80 for a night + breakfast. Overall it's good value for money but we felt a bit too much that people were longing for the end of...
