Il Giardino degli Angeli — Hotel in Assisi

Lovely boutique hotel with really pretty gardens, hidden seats here and there to sit relax and enjoy. Hotel comprises two main buildings and two suites. Our suite was clean, nicely decorated, spacious and private sadly the toilet seat was broken and a shelf in bathroom. Also would have been good to have a mirror upstairs and drawers to put clothes in. Pool a good size and really clean with plenty of seating / loungers. Breakfast a good selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, breads and filled rolls. Nice touch if you were round after breakfast / late afternoon, the owner would bring drinks / snacks whilst you were sitting by pool. There is a small cafe opposite hotel for ice cream, pastries and drinks and a small supermarket literally 3 minute walk. Great location to see Umbria, with beautiful Assisi just a 10 minute drive. Whilst the staff were friendly, this is a fully family run business, we did feel little excluded because we weren't Italian speaking and felt we were left to our own devices. It looks like a resort, with a gorgeous garden with flowers and exotic plants, opening to a stunning swimming pool and a veranda where you can have breakfast in the morning.||||Our room was spacious and modern, with a very nicely designed bathroom, with shower equipped with ambient lighting for chromotherapy, and an overall well-done interior design.||||Breakfast was various, with plenty of delicious options both salty and sweet, juices, coffees, cappuccinos, cakes and different treats. ||||Staff was very friendly, polite and professional.
