Punta Zerbion — Hotel in Ayas

A very sweet little hotel that rates higher than its 3 stars......|Rosella was very helpful and informative with my email questions prior to booking .|Staff very hardworking and friendly.|Rooms immaculately clean and great bed and shower after coming down from a day on the slopes.|Lovely gala New Years Eve meal.|Airport transfer by local taxi Corroza ( info from Rosella) was brilliant as they offer complimentary transport to/ from Champoluc during the week if you use them for airport transfer - Luca and the other drivers were super- highly recommend them.|Ski bus stops opposite Hotel- hourly service but was late once and didn’t turn up at all on another occasion so having the taxi service was magic. |Taverna room was a lovely play area with fireplace- however, very busy with children during our stay ( school holiday period) so adult area was at small lobby at hotel entrance.|Board games/ magazines available in lobby.|Pool a nice option for tired ski legs- very popular with children so quite busy during our stay. We spent week here just after Christmas. We had a family room. Room was big enough for us parents and to our 11 and 13 years boys. The boys enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna every evening. Sauna was rather small but my standards come from the country with million saunas.

Breakfast was buffet type with plenty of options. Also eggs and bacon was served when asked. Dinner was very nice with Italian cuisine. In general the food was excellent.

We spent our days at piste. The hotel had a deal with local gear locker company so we left our skiing gear next to lifts evereday which was nice.

During the Christmas there was lot of tourists so we took as early bus as possible to lifts in order to get there before trafgic blocked the road...which happened...

We were struggling to find somewhere to stay and we finally ending up booking via Monterosa Ski Tourist board (info@monterosa-ski.com - they are fantastic too) and turned up to a very warm welcome, and a table set for our evening meal, ready for weary travellers. The food was fantastic, and the menu well thought out. The staff are very friendly, and helpful, and the room very spacious. The hotel has only just been revamped, and it is classy but still warm. With an underground garage, pool and sauna the price was exceptional. ||||I would recommend this to all - family, friends,...
