Lost in time! These words sum up a stay at this family operated hotel on the water! We enjoyed a three night stay a short trek from a terms bath park, other beach clubs, restaurants and cafes! Read on for tips to enjoy your stay here and take advantage of nearby attractions without having to spend or do too much! A true lily relaxing vacation! Remote! This hotel is off the beaten path, and there in lies the adventure! Take the ferry to Ischia Port and then Bus #5 to Maronte Square (or pay 25€ for a taxi like we did - don’t pay more — it’s easy to talk them down to the fair rate.) Both modes of transport will leave you in Maronti Squre. From there, based on the season and water - you will take a water taxi to the hotel or walk down to the water make a right - walk about 20 minutes down the shore until you see a sign for Hotel Angelina. Go up the stairs and Make a right, you’ll see a sign for Hotel Vitorrio with an entrance to a tunnel. The tunnel will take you to the reception are for the hotel! An adventure it is - and it made for a most memorable time! The hotel itself is like a time capsule transporting you into the 70s and beautiful views of the sea beckon you to let go of your usual modern extravagances and take pleasure in the simplicity of sand, salty water and cool ocean breezes. Greeted with cool lemonade and a cheery reception staff - we were delighted to enjoy lunch looking at the water. Rooms are adequate, simply furnished and include a delightful sea view and balcony to enjoy quiet mornings and gaze at stars in the evening. I must stress CLEAN! Also note, there is no air conditioning But we kept our doors open at night and a fan running. Truly a seaside European summer stay - so if you have the Hilton in mind - this place is not for you! We were disappointed to learn the night before that the hotel didn’t have a beach as the water of the sea engulfed it. We’d specifically chosen this hotel for its beachfront location. The owners understood our disappointment and treated us to a water taxi and dinner the first night. The upside - hotel is located just a short way to other beach clubs and fine dining! And we tried so many throughout our stay!!! If you stay at this hotel, I urge you to adventure off premise for beach club, terme parks and dining! Each night we returned and enjoyed the bar for a drink before bed. This hotel is good for those who don’t mind walking, and are physically able to manage stairs, and tough beach terrain to visit other nearby eateries etc. There isn’t a lift and even with water taxis this would be a difficult place to take our mothers too. All in all a good trip where time stopped along with the hotel which felt like a page out of an old movie. Once we knew what we were experiencing and what kind of stay it would be — we settled in and enjoyed it. You can get lost in time and fall in love with Ischia.

The overall stay was amazing. The service personel is amazing and very friendly and forhcoming. The location is insanely beautiful, however during the weekend a lot of ships anker in the area of the hotel. Every room has an ocean view, which is amazing. You should know that the rooms are very basic (Bed, toilet, tv & shower, no airconditioning, no fridge), but they are clean and you are not there for the room 😂 The hotel has a private beach, very nice. There are not too many guests and it is overall very suitable for a romantic vacation! The food in the restaurant ist really good and not too pricey. To get to the hotel you have to walk along the beach and a makeshift wooden walkway (which can be tricky depending on your physique) or you take a taxi boat (about 4€/person, takes around 10 minutes). All in all, i can definitely recommend it, if you are searching for a quiet place with a beautiful view of the ocean, good food and the spirit of ischia :)

great location, it’s very quiet. It’s not very accessible. If have issues with talking a long walk, this might not be the place, because it’s a 700 meter walk to the hotel from the nearest bus stop/taxi stand. But you wake up to the Mediterranean Sea splashing the water on the shore, very relaxing. Nice to walk out of the hotel right on the beach. They should improve the restaurant though, the staff is unprofessional and not friendly, they rather talk to each other than help guests.

This hotel is a solid 3 stars hotel and we generally enjoyed our stay here, yet there are some pros and cons to consider. To reach the hotel (in Barano), use the bus number 5 located nearby Ischia Porto (tickets cost €1.50/ride). The last stop in Barano is the Maronti beach nearby the Libeccio Café. From there, a 15-minutes walk along the beach is necessary. Absolutely call the hotel reception to ask for help with the luggage, because it is not feasible to comfortably walk there with heavy bags.||This place has a great, almost secluded location at the base of a cliff where the Maronti beach shrinks a bit before reopening on the other side of the cliff edge, towards Sant'Angelo. So, it is a relatively quiet and enjoyable place, but you need to love walking otherwise you risk to remain stuck there. Coming from Sant'Angelo, when the sea is rough you may not be able to walk at the base of the cliff and instead need to take the walk on the cliff top, which is even more secluded, but worth doing. Please note the walk to/from Sant'Angelo is steep in parts. With this in mind, we thought this location was exciting. There is a taxi boat service, sea permitting, which allows to reach Sant'Angelo and come back, effortlessly. ||Beach sunbeds and umbrella are included in the price for hotel guests. The same goes for the swimming pool, which is nice. The sea waters are crystal clear.||Our room was clean, large with a nice balcony with sea view and not too distant (probably 20-30 meters) from the sea. This was great, but the furniture was minimal, although functional, with a vintage/tired look. The bathroom lacked ventilation - an issue in hot summer. Yet, we enjoyed our room and loved to hear the sea at night time.||We did not eat at the restaurant of the hotel, because we were not particularly enthused by the menu. There are plenty of exceptional restaurants in Sant'Angelo requiring to walk or a taxi boat, as mentioned above.|The breakfast was OK, but not as abundant in choice and amount as you would expect in higher category hotels.||Overall, we felt this is definitively a solidly good 3 star hotel, with excellent, peaceful location, suited for people who love to spend time by the beach, with good...
