Bar Ristorante Emanuela — Restaurant in Serrara Fontana

It's a bit yes and no about this "restaurant". The first time we had a meal it was very good. Two nights later it was awful. First night I had a carbonara penne which was lovely as my first course followed by Hunter chicken which was okay apart from there being more bone than meat. If my rating was based on the first night then I would have probably rated a 4 or a 5. However the second night put pay to that. I had the same first course but with spaghetti and it was disgusting. This was due to the overwhelming amount of salt used in it cooking which made it inedible, so I left half (I did try my best). As a side order we had a mixed salad which looked like it had been prepared hours before and did not contain freshly prepared vegetable ingredients. To get to the cafe you will have to get to S. Angelo (I advise you to leave your car in a paid parking lot) and at the very entrance to the city and walk to get on a boat that will take you to this cafe. This is where they cook fish and octopus in thermal sand. To order this dish, call an hour before arrival. If you haven't done this, take octopus with capers (they cook the capers themselves), potatoes and some other seasonings. I love octopus, but they rarely cook it, sometimes correctly or it is not fresh enough or for some other reason. But this octopus was N2 after my experience in Brazil, where I ate at the Buzios restaurant. I liked it! Delicious and not expensive. Beautiful view. The boat to the beach costs 3 euros, after 7 pm 6 euros one way....

Il 27.09.24 partenza per un'altra gita a isola di Ischia a San Angelo 👼 Pranzi, cena per 4volti al ristorante "Emanuela" sul Mare... Abbiamo ordinato due primi... Molto buoni e direi anche abbondante... Ma, la cosa ché ci ha stupito è ché nel arrangiamento del pianto il prezzemolo e il peperoncino erano come decorazioni separati... Poi chi lo desidera lo mescola, e chi no ? Complimenti al cuoco per questa invenzione!!! Per la cena in anticipo ho ordinato su prenotazione "l'orata al fumaiolo"... Arriva la ragazza dicendomi che il piatto e pronto...gli rispondo gentilmente bene lo potete portare... Poi in un certo punto mi viene ha dire di seguire un ragazzo fuori dal ristorante... Ché già anche lui mi dice di seguirlo sulla spiaggia in riva al mare, poi anche già buio... Lui con una torcia 🔦e Io lo seguo... Pocco dietro mi segue il mio marito. Mentre lo seguo.. pensò 🤔🤔ma..., come mi hanno detto che piatto e pronto? Allora faccio la battuta: Ma, il pesce🐟 ancora è vivo? Il ragazzo spiritoso mi risponde: No... è morto🤣🤣 Arriviamo in un posto dove la sabbia è bollente... Trova un filo lungo e lo tira fuori dalla sabbia... così tirando esce un sacchetto di stoffa... Lo fa' toccare... a noi e veramente era molto bollente. Con questo metodo il pesce con tutti i condomini si è cotto nella sabbia fumante. Così detti "le Fumarole di Ischia" Ché dire:? Un piatto sembra semplice ma, lo stesso modo cotto in modo particolare e geniale.... La cottura geotermica... alle fumarole.
