Stayed here for 8 days. Brunch was amazing.....but don't try taking anything out, even if it does say you can, they will charge you for a second breakfast. Don't ask for directions, they think we're ignorant for not understanding that their 5 minutes drive is our 20 minute drive, since they have no street indications. They seem to be in their own little bubble. We asked about the restaurant next door. They told us it was only opened on Friday and week-ends. We went and were told they're open 7 days a week. The right hand does not talk to the left hand. There is a Winery right behind them. When I told the Hotel I was going to have Lunch at the winery they said impossible, they don't serve food. I did have lunch and it was the very best lunch. Even the winery couldn't understand why the Hotel would say they don't serve Lunch. They claim to have Air Conditioning, true they do but at around 10:30 P.M. until around 7:30 A.M. they literally turn it OFF!! Claiming it was cool enough outside. They have no screens and their mosquito are Horse Flies. They took chunks off not just bites. So don't count on the Air Conditioning at night and do expect a lot of company (mosquitoes). In all, this place is out of the way for any strolling or biking. It is literally out of the way from civilization. Personally for senior citizens I do not recommend this place unless it is only for an overnight stay! They were almost rude to...
Read moreVery easy access - right at the Tavarnelle exit of the Firenze-Siena superstrada. There is substantial road noise and the hotel is maybe 50 meters from the highway. At check-in I asked for a quiet room but was informed that the "Smart" room that I booked (to be fair, the least expensive) was, by definition, not a quiet room. I took this to mean that these rooms are the ones on the side of the hotel facing the highway. The listing on booking dot com made it appear that the standard and smart rooms were identical except for the standard having a balcony. Thankfully the kind hotel staff upgraded us to a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the highway as they were not full.|The mattress was solid, firm just like I like it. Substantial pillows give solid support for your head and a good night's rest.|Wifi coverage and speed just fine.|Breakfast is good. Special feature: a honeycomb from their hives where you can get locally sourced honey. The brioches/croissants are cooked on the outside but were a bit raw on the inside. The coffee machine isn't the best for an espresso. Neither is the bar's coffee machine. But the variety at the buffet is good and the quality of the food is generally high.|The staff was always courteous and kind. Parking was amply available - there's parking just in front of the hotel (roughly 10 spaces) but there is also a larger fenced in lot just beyond this smaller...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at this hotel for 5 nights. Magdalena is an absolute gem. Upon checking-in, my room was subpar to my expectations, so Magdalena graciously showed me two available rooms and allowed me to select one. Upon checking out, Magdalena helped secure a taxi for me to the airport. In my 5 night stay, I spent one day at the pool and it was by far the more relaxing experience in my time at Tuscany. I enjoyed being walking distance to one of the best restaurants in the area, Osteria Enoteca i Vignaioli. ||Overall, I highly recommend. My only advice to park hotel chianti is elaborate more on breakfast options and focus on hospitality there as you did with all other aspects of the hotel. ||Thank...
