B&B Rose e Cioccolato — Hotel in Borgo Val di Taro

What a fantastic B&B! As seasoned travelers, this is by far the greatest place we have ever stayed. The house is in perfect shape and situated on a hill overlooking the small country town of Borgotaro. It offers the perfect combination of both the tranquillity of the countryside and proximity to bars /restaurants in town. The hosts, Lori ad Roberto, are delightful and extremely helpful. They speak English which is handy and provide for all your needs. ||||The rooms are fabulously decorated and clean and roomy with ensuite bathrooms. The common area downstairs is well appointed and the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The outside space is beautiful with plenty of walks into the hills and fantastic views of the valley. Borgotaro is a quant, little Italian town and is a 5 minute drive away. It has several bars and restaurants and cultural events throughout the Summer. Overall this is a perfect place for anyone ( couples or families) and we certainly hope to be able to return...

Happy to have found this wonderful B and B via Tripadvisor.it and spent five lovely days, using it as "home base" while researching my grandparents' and ancestors' birthplaces. The views from ||"R and C" are breathtaking, the air pure and invigorating.||||The Rose room was very large, comfortable and provided all modern conveniences while retaining the air of a country estate. Owners, Roberto and Lori, were models of ideal hosts. ||"R and C" is also conveniently situated, being only 1.25 hours from the Mediterranean shore at Sestri Levante and 1 hour from Parma -- both reachable via the autostrada.||||I wholeheartedly recommend this BandB for a relaxed, revivifying stay, especially for fellow-Americans needing a respite from the more popular, crowded sights. Remember, September and October are chestnut and porcini season...
