Relais San Desiderio — Hotel in Calliano Monferrato

If you want to experience Italy at its finest visit the Relais, San Desiderio. The Relais is a large traditional villa with 7 bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, courtyard, swimming pool and spa. Each bedroom was unique and beautiful with frescos on the ceiling and traditional artworks on the walls. The bedrooms, balconies and terrace roof have spectacular views across the valley. ||||The Relais is self catering with a communal kitchen and lounge which was well stocked for all our needs with plenty of space for our own shopping, food and drink. It was a pleasure to meet and talk to other visitors to The Relais who came from all over the world. The house is run by a lovely lady, Daniela, who couldn’t have done more to make us welcome, or even feel part of the family. ||||The Relais is in the middle of San Desiderio which is as real as it is beautiful. It is 2km from the towns of Calliano and Grana where you can pick up all you need, access a bank, post office and visit the local restaurants and pizzerias. In this part of Italy you are surrounded by great food, delicious wine and wonderful scenery…a wonderful way to spend a holiday.||||We will definitely go back to The Relais to enjoy its unique beauty and family atmosphere and from there enjoy the Piedmont area and have easy access to Northwest Italy, Asto, Turin,...

We spent a very enjoyable time at this hotel. Our room was beautifully furnished with period pieces and frescos on the walls and ceiling. We were greeted warmly by the hostess who spoke excellent English and gave us a great deal of useful information about the location and places to visit in the area. The views were absolutely stunning, especially from the roof. There was a vista of vineyards in all directions which were breathtaking. Nearby, there was a very good restaurant that served homemade food with local wine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an isolated spot in the country with spectacular views and appreciates traditional style...

Il mio peggior pernottamento da anni.||Resto stupito a leggere recensioni positive su questo Bed & Breakfast.|La struttura è sommariamente manutenuta, il cortile svolge la doppia funzione di posteggio / area ospiti e si spostano i lettini ad ogni arrivo o uscita d’auto.|Sotto le navate prospicienti il lato abitativo un deposito di attrezzature varie in disuso . |La piscina è una vasca fuori terra. |Le erbe circostanti il cortile non sono tagliate e sono forse una concausa della continua presenza di zanzare a tutte le ore del giorno.|Ebbene su quanto sopraesposto, alla luce di una tariffa ragionevole, si poteva chiudere un occhio. ||Ma la permanenza nel nostro caso è stata funestata dalla mancanza della reclamizzata aria condizionata. Già guasta e segnalata all’arrivo alla addetta ricezione ospiti. Il malfunzionamento è stato dapprima attribuito ad un telecomando dalle pile scariche e successivamente ad un improvviso guasto. |Insomma la nostra camera “Zio Aleandro”, disposta al sole tutto il pomeriggio e priva di riscontro d’aria è divenuta un autentico forno crematorio. |L’unico palliativo lasciatoci, dopo nostra implorazione, è stato un piccolo ventilatore da scrivania autentico sopravvissuto agli anni ’70 che non è stato di alcun aiuto. |La lunga notte, in un letto anche strettino, è stata un inferno totale.||Non si dà una valutazione alla colazione affrontata e in condizione...
