About the Thermal Park: When you leave, you are not allowed to go into the changing rooms with wet clothes and shoes; you are forced to change in the toilet or on a bench. This is nonsense! Almost all visitors are in a hurry to get out and don't have time to wait for their clothes to dry, but this not very clever woman at the reception won't let you in! Even with small children. We have seen mothers changing their children into dry clothes at the entrance to the cloakroom building on their way out. This is disgraceful, bad form and disrespectful! For so much money, the staff should be walking around with a mop and be nice to the visitors! We had a small rucksack and a very small lady's handbag. We could not take these things into the park, we had to pay for two separate places to store them on a hanger at the reception - 2 EUR per each. And for 3 EUR you can rent a small portable box called a "safe"... you can't put more than a handbag in it, and it's not securely and permanently secured. It remains in the open locker at reception! What's the point of this "safe"? Hairdryers in the cloakroom for an additional fee! With the entrance tickets so expensive! Grabbers! This is very unpleasant! The water temperature in the "knappe" and in the 2 lanes of the Japanese bath is clearly not the stated temperature. 5. The...
Read moreNice place with thermal baths on Ischia! Save yourself 20 euro on a taxi and take the 1 or 2 bus 4 stops to the location.
Location is on a huge hill with a funicular but you'll still have to walk a good bit and on steps. Something to consider with strollers.
2 pools for kids only. Other 7 for adults. The kids pool didn't have a designated kids section wirh shallow water but pool noodles were available for purchase.
Two restaurants on site, we tried one. Food was good and plentiful but there are no prices and it's attached to the card on file at the end. Breakfast for 15 euro even for my 3 year old .. so be advised of that cost. It added up after 3 days.
All in all beautiful location with bungalow style rooms. Gorgeous landscaping with stairs and hills. Seemed geared toward German retirees but we still enjoyed time as a family.
Oh and the pool closes at 6 even for hotel guests. They're very very strict about which chairs you were assigned too, even when not busy. Restaurant had a table...
Read moreWe booked this resort as a family with two small children and we were somewhat disappointed. The amount of pools they have does not allow for one single area for small children to safely swim or be in the water, also all of them are salty. The staff is friendly but not willing to go an extra mile, in the hotel restaurant you kindly but firmly get told off because you dare as hotel guests to spontaneously stay in for dinner and show up without reservation. Breakfast is low key and not with lot of care. Typical boring italian breakfast. The sea access also not kids friendly- so all in all only book this hotel if you are adults only and have no high expectations in hotellery and gastronomy. Locationwise it’s perfect, good spot to explore the island! Also...
