Hotel Joy — Hotel in Castel Volturno

DON'T GO THERE. OWNERS ARE THIEVES!!!!||I proprietari sono ladri.||||I made my reservation on Booking.com and gave my consent to them to pass my credit card number to the hotel owner to make the payment on hotel's terminal. The hotel charged my card with the full amount and I thought that's it. It was 2 months before the trip.||2 weeks after I booked the hotel (1.5 months before the trip), the hotel charged me additional 100 Euro and few days later additional 60 Euro. I claimed this to the hotel and they promised to return the money and asked to not tell about this incident to Booking.com.||Few days later they ordered food on the internet and paid for it using my credit card. I blocked the card and agreed with Booking.com to cancel the reservation free of charge.||The total amount the hotel should refund (including money they stolen using my credit card) is over 1000 Euro.||It is already 2 months after Booking.com cancelled the reservation and the hotel still didn't return the money, despite the fact Booking.com asked them several times for that.||||I requested the hotel also to refund me the bank fee for issuing new credit card to replace the one which numbers they stolen. The hotel owner wrote that they will not refund this fee because it is my private expense, not theirs. ||||DON'T GO THERE. OWNERS...

Nonostante fosse scritto sull'app che la struttura fosse servita di spiaggia e fronte spiaggia, questo albergo non si affaccia assolutamente sul mare! Geograficamente è vicino, ma per arrivare ci vogliono almeno 20/25 minuti di camminata oppure 10 minuti in auto se con poco traffico, altrimenti anche di più. Tra l'altro, solo sul sito di booking si può leggere che l'albergo dista a "5 minuti" dalla spiaggia, mentre dall'applicazione questa informazione non c'è.

In più, prima di prenotare, ho anche telefonato alla struttura per accertarmi di questa cosa, e mi conferma che l'albergo è fronte spiaggia ed hanno in convenzione una spiaggia attrezzata non inclusa nel prezzo.

Chiedo quindi il rimborso totale della prenotazione in quanto desideravo trascorrere vacanze al mare senza dover  prendere la macchina per arrivare in spiaggia o a dover essere soggetto a determinati orari per la navetta.

-Tengo a precisare, che ad oggi, ancora non ho capito chi è in realtà il colpevole di questa descrizione assolutamente sbagliata. L'albergo incolpa booking che assegna in automatico questa descrizione. Il servizio clienti di booking invece continua a ribadire che è l'albergo a fornire le descrizioni.-

L'albergo non rimborsa, ma promette che comunque sarà loro premura accompagnarci e riprenderci dalla spiaggia che dista comunque ben di più di 5 minuti come si legge dal sito.

La posizione dell'albergo sulla mappa è  molto ingannevole. Alla fine della strada infatti, non è possibile accedere alla spiaggia, in quanto la pineta è tutta recintata. Per accedere alla spiaggia insomma, le uniche strade percorribili sono quelle che si vedono dalla mappa: non ci sono altre strade più corte percorribili a piedi per raggiungere la spiaggia.

È stato tutto un problema di principio, se leggo e pago per fronte spiaggia, deve esserlo! Senza giustificarsi che l'albergo offre passaggi in auto per il mare.

La zona comunque è davvero molto degradata con immondizia e prostitute sempre in bella mostra, non il massimo per una famiglia che cerca una vacanza di relax insomma.

Del resto però Albergo carino e pulito con asciugamani cambiati ogni giorno.

Personale molto cordiale e disponibile.

Peccato vedere spesso, soprattutto la sera, un via vai di persone che affittano camere ad ore a prezzi...

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Joy. The rooms are a bit dated in style, which seems common for the area, but they were very clean, well maintained, and the air conditioning kept us perfectly comfortable.
