Baffone — Restaurant in Castel Volturno

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids) were there for 2+ hours and were only served mediocre appetizers and one (one TOTAL, not one each) plate of pasta from the 3 course menu and we were charged $240.

The kids food NEVER came despite asking multiple times, and they only brought one (normal sized) plate of pasta for the 4 adults - even though we all ordered a meal. We waited and waited for the rest of the food until we eventually gave up and left because the kids were in tears because they were so hungry.

This place has truly awful service and terrible food from the little we were actually given to taste. Too bad too, because the play area and animals would make this a great family spot to keep coming back...

I would never go back here or recommend this place to a friend. While it does have a cool little playground and petting zoo, the food is average and the owners/employees are scam artist. We threw a very large going away dinner for my office for over 50 people. The understanding was that there would be wine, water, buffalo cheese with meat, pasta and the main dish of meat/fish for 25 euro. What we received was a little short...wine, water, the buffalo cheese and meat, pasta and one VERY SMALL piece of pizza....for 25 EURO!! Anyone who has spent more than a day in southern Italy knows that this meal was barely worth 15 Euro. They got us good but I promise no one from our organization will ever return....

Esperienza da incubo, da non ripetere. Arriviamo con prenotazione in 12, 8 adulti e 4 bambini alle 21.30. Arriva subito quello che penso sia il proprietario. Alla nostra richiesta di avere delle pizze, si rivolge in malo modo dicendo che dovremmo aspettare 2 ore e quindi dobbiamo per forza ordinare un antipasto. Scendiamo a patti, ordiniamo gli antipasti nella speranza che le pizze arrivino in meno tempo. Alle 22.08 il cameriere prende la comanda delle pizze. Alla richiesta del menu, nuovamente in malo modo, ci viene detto che le pizze da ordinare sono solo 5, ossia le classiche e che non dobbiamo ordinare altro perché c'è folla. Scendiamo a patti anche su questo, ordinando dei calzoni senza ricotta perché "era finita". Arrivano gli antipasti, immangiabili: fritturina insipida, patatine secche che sanno di pesce, per non parlare dei gusci di gamberi trovati nel piatto. Alle 23.10 chiediamo a che sono le pizze e veniamo aggrediti, dicendo che abbiamo ordinato alle 22.08 e dobbiamo aspettare due ore e che se il cameriere avesse preso l'ordine a mezzanotte, avremmo dovuto aspettare comunque fino alle 2. Finita la discussione, ci dice che dopo 10 minuti le pizze sarebbero state in tavola. A mezzanotte, esausti, coi bambini che piangevano dalla fame, siamo andati all'interno con l'intento di pagare gli antipasti e andare via. Qui succede l'impossibile : ci viene detto che abbiamo torto noi perché ci è stata detta l'attesa delle due ore (nonostante per piacere loro abbiamo ordinato antipasti che non volevamo) e quindi anche se andiamo via, dobbiamo pagare il conto per intero, completo di pizze non mangiate. Infine arrivano le pizze, ci sediamo a tavola nuovamente per evitare ulteriori discussioni. Pizza disgustosa come d'altronde tutto il resto, soprattutto la gestione. Non ci tornerei neanche se mi pagassero. Spero...
