Editing, since Hotel Laura staff has comprehension problems and i cannot reply: Dear staff, this is for other people, to let them know your utter lack of humanity. This was clearly not about money, but about your lack of empathy. You could go around criticising me about not carrying 4 euros cash, i criticise you because that put your entire operation upside down, apparently. Other guests, look at how Hotel Laura replies (bullyish i'd say) to negative reviews, this seems to be their practice to deter them.
Edit 2: hahahahha they actually edited two times, once with grammatical errors, and both of them with lies. You're tripping if you think i gave you "fake reviews", any person with half a brain cell can tell you're just trying to bully me and other negative reviewers away. I'm not scared of a Google translate capable 1-star hotel owner. Good day!
Left after 15 minutes!
Horrible experience. Souless receptionist, can't say anything without the boss' aproval, and the boss is only available in the mornings. After we had a 6h long trip here, she only talked about the city tax, CASH only. There was no mention about this cash only shenanigan on the reservation - and to be clear, we stayed at 2 different hotels before, both accepted cards. She was adamant about this as well. She told us there is an atm about 30 minutes away BY BUS, lol, and to bring it in the morning. I told her i would bring it in the afternoon, so i won't ruin my day on bus trips, but she did not flinch with this request. She was adamant we needed it in the morning, not the afternoon. Your tax problems are not mine, dudes. No humanity, for FOUR EUROS
Also, when we told her we only had a card and no cash(multiple times, she understood perfectly), she started explaining to us what an euro looks like. This prestation is below any hospitality i've ever been to, and the fact that she didn't see us as humans but as some random money throwing machines says a lot about the people that work here. Also, on a random note, the shower is only a hose above the sink, i found no mention of this in...
Read more1.-It really does not matter why a guest decides to leave. Sometimes people are simply being polite and do not want to argue. Still, I believe that if a guest does not use the nights they have already paid for, it is a basic matter of decency and hospitality to refund at least part of the money.
If you had refunded me the €300, you still would have done well, considering that I had already paid €340 for just one night in that room.
2.-The issues were real and obvious. The sewage smell and the constant noise made it impossible to rest. If the air conditioning was really “silent,” as claimed, why was the outdoor unit installed directly on the terrace, producing continuous noise? These were not “personal problems,” but serious flaws in the room.
3.-I paid €640 for one night. This is an extremely high amount considering the poor conditions. I am not poorer because of this money – it only reflects badly on the hotel’s management that, despite the obvious problems, they refused to issue any refund.
4.-Reviews matter. I am glad if other guests had a better experience, but mine was objectively unpleasant and far below expectations for this price range. Calling my review “false” does not change the facts. I stand by my original review. I wish the hotel well, but based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend it.
5.-But you know what? I will gladly offer you the €300 – use it to buy a proper shower curtain and a decent shower head for the room. Maybe even an air freshener would fit into that amount. And please, also take care of the extractor fan in the bathroom – it was as loud as a coffee grinder.
6.-Yes, unfortunately, Booking.com only seems to show good reviews about your hotel. That is why I will never use that website again for booking accommodation, and I will advise others not to book there either – just as I will never recommend your hotel to anyone. And as for your threats, they don’t concern me in...
Read more😢: The staff were friendly and polite, and the breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Unfortunately, the room itself had very serious issues: there was a constant sewage smell, the extractor fan was as loud as a coffee grinder, and the outdoor unit of the air conditioning was placed directly on the terrace, making it impossible to rest at night. The room facing the courtyard was close to a busy street, so the noise of cars and motorbikes could be heard throughout the night. The bathroom was uncomfortable and outdated – the shower was separated only by a curtain, with barely any space to move.
I booked the room on Booking.com, where the hotel had very good reviews. Unfortunately, I only checked the Google reviews later, which was my mistake. The next morning I immediately reported the problems and asked for a refund for the remaining two nights, but the owner refused. As a result, I checked out and moved to another hotel. To this day, I have not received any refund for the two unused nights. In the end, I paid €640 for just one night in a smelly and noisy room – which is absolutely not worth the price. If I had known this in advance, I would have rather slept in my car for free than pay for such conditions.
I am not a demanding traveler, but for this amount of money one should at least be able to expect fresh air and a restful sleep. While I appreciate the effort of the staff, due to the condition of the room and the owner’s attitude, I cannot recommend this hotel. I am writing this review so that others do not end up as...
