Located in the middle of Toskana near the small beautiful city and gives you amazing view on the mountains, vineyards and gardens. Acceptable travel time to Pisa, San Gimignano, Livorno, Florence and other cities. Extremely maintained garden with pool, barbecue place and tables. Free parking inside ht property protected by the wall. Well equipped bathrooms with GROHE solutions.

Cons: You need to buy all the chemicals and cleaning equipment for an apartment by yourself, even napkins and a toilet paper, which is ridiculous. The task is getting harder because supermarket Coop in the city nearby is closed during the day. Such a situation is not mentioned in the booking, but it helps to keep the price low compared to other properties. Nobody washed the floors and removed the dust from the pictures and top of the furniture in the apartment probably for the last several months. Unclear why the cleaning fee is applied for such quality of service. There is no Tea/Coffee Maker/Coffee machine in the Kitchen which stated in the booking and no Dishwasher with Waschmaschine also, which is not promised in the reservation. Thus, existing limited Kitchenware is usually left dirty, because it's cleanliness depends on previous guests. You need to sort the trash into four different types, but there are no appropriate bins provided. Promised in the reservation soundproofing is pathetic! You can hear everything from the upper floor and your neighbours. WiFi connection works well during the day but mysteriously dies in the evening and rises from the dead in the morning again. We enjoyed a 4 night stay at this apartment. It is part of a small complex in a pleasant setting with nice gardens, a pool and great views over the Tuscan countryside. The beds were comfy, there are 2 bathrooms which was a nice bonus and 2 balconies both with lovely views. We're a family of 5 and had everything we needed. The apartment is basic rather than luxurious but we enjoyed the traditional feel of it. The kitchen is very basically equipped but you can cook simple meals on the hob (there's no oven) and there are plenty of places to eat out. The only thing we would have liked was a kettle. We're British and like our tea :) but we were able to boil water on the hob.

We arrived and left outside of reception hours due to our flights but Marco was accommodating and there was no issue getting into the apartment or checking out. As some people have mentioned on reviews Marco only speaks a little English (tho still much better than our Italian) but he was very friendly and we were able to understand one another. This wasn't an issue for us at all, and I would say it added to the experience.

There is a coop in Cerreto Guidi just a couple of minutes drive/15 minute walk, where we were able to get groceries. As previous reviews mention you also need to bring or buy your own washing up liquid, tea towels, toilet roll, etc.

You're also asked to pay the tourist tax and cleaning charge on arrival. We had been made aware of this when we booked so that was fine. Tourist tax is charged everywhere in Italy as we discovered on this holiday, so worth checking it out beforehand so you don't get a shock. It's charged per person per night.

The location of the apartment is great for exploring the area. We visited Florence, Pisa and Vinci during our stay and would happily have stayed longer and explored more of this...

Via een boekingsite het huisje geboekt, de boeking is bevestigd. 6 maanden later, slechts één week voor vertrek werd mij doodleuk een berichtje gestuurd dat het huisje niet meer beschikbaar was. Ik kon in een "farmhouse" terecht maar de eigenaar kon mij helemaal niets vertellen over wat daar voor voorzieningen waren of over de locatie. Alleen dat niet nog niet af was. Reageerde helemaal niet op mijn berichten of vragen. Uiteindelijk de boekingsite gevraagd te bemiddelen maar daar reageert de eigenaar ook niet op. Inmiddels hoge kosten gemaakt voor tickets en een andere veel duurdere locatie. Wilt u een betrouwbare eigenaar, ZOEK DAN VERDER!!. Dit is echt absurd.
