Olympic Centre - San Sicario — Hotel in Cesana Torinese

First let’s start with the food from chewy soft chips to the soggy croissants that I could barely survive off of! the food there was bad. The rooms seemed OK but as I was leaving we noticed the green spot on the ceiling and the 10+ cigarettes on our prison cell looking balcony another thing we noticed is that whenever we turned the hairdryer on the light in our bathroom dimmed and flickered although this wasn’t a surprise as our room lights took a solid three seconds of flickering to turn on. The shower was one of the positives of the room because it had the perfect temperature and got to it quickly. My friend brought a UV flashlight to see if there was bacteria in the room and we had a bright green mark on the floor which we thought was odd. I would also like to note that the bar always smelled of smoke or reeked of weed. On the bottom floor there were what seemed to be closed shops with cracked glass that had been taped together poorly. This is the worst hotel my daughter has ever stepped foot in. Words cannot express how bad this place is. This hotel should be closed down as it is unsanitary and not fit for purpose. |My daughter stayed here as part of a large skiing trip. The rooms were filthy dirty, holes in walls, no locks on the door, mould on walls, mould and grime on shower and shower head. Shower door broken and falling off. |She was not expecting luxury but this was worse than hostel standards. This place was truly depressing. |The worst part of the experience was the food, it was disgusting. The food was vile, my daughter only eat chips and pasta during her stay. On one occasion there was hair in the meal. The meat served looked undercooked, hummus was green the whole look of the food vile and unappealing. Luogo del cuore, trattasi dell'ex "Colonia Italsider" che, così come le "Colonie Olivetti", offrirono opportunità d'esperienza e di crescita uniche ai figli dei propri dipendenti, grazie alla gestione delle Colonie stesse da parte dei Centri per l'Esercitazione ai Metodi dell'Educazione Attiva (C.E.M.E.A). Perfettamente riammodernata e ristrutturata - in occasione delle Olimpiadi Invernali di Torino 2006, salvaguardando le caratteristiche enormi vetrate che avevano e mantengono la proprietà di lasciar entrare la luce d'alta montagna (che, però, non offende mai la vista) e di mantenere lo sguardo sul verde circostante in cui è magicamente inserito - L' "Olympic Center" si trova in mezzo ad una grande spianata erbosa, tra un magnificente bosco di conifere ed il Monte Chaberton, frontalmente godibile dalle grandi terrazze in legno di molte stanze. La vista è particolarmente suggestiva durante la multicolore e fragrante fioritura estiva ma anche durante la stagione invernale. Spettacolari sono le notti stellate. Per gli appassionati degli sport invernali, l' "Olympic Center" si trova in un punto nevralgico rispetto alle principali stazioni sciistiche circostanti cui è collegata anche sci ai piedi. Inoltre, è possibile affittare tutta l'attrezzatura necessaria direttament in albergo. Le stanze (ricavate da quelle che furono le camerate delle Colonie), con bagno in camera, sono molto spaziose e luminose e, nei limiti delle possibilità relative alle prenotazioni, si può anche richiederne con terrazza e vista sullo Chaberton. Il personale, estremamente gentile e disponibile, si fa in quattro per ascoltarvi e per soddisfare, entro i limiti delle umane possibilità, le Vs. richieste, al fine di garantirVi un soggiorno quanto più possibile gradevole, riposante e tonificante. Il soggiorno all' "Olympic Center" è una medicina per l'anima e per il corpo: sia che abbiate bisogno di una vacanza di assoluto riposo che, viceversa, desideriate una vacanza all'insegna dell'attività fisica e dello sport, sia estivo che invernale. Ottimo per single, coppie, gruppi e famiglie con bambini ed anziani, in virtù delle molte possibilità offerte dall'ambiente circostante. La frontiera francese è molto prossima e facilmente raggiungibile in auto. Montechiaro (la località dov'è situato l' "Olympic Center") si trova immediatamente sopra Cesana Torinese (che d'Estate si anima di alcuni eventi estivi, come, ad esempio, la Festa del Maggiociondolo) e San Sicario, caratteristico piccolo ma suggestivo borgo con la sua tipica fontana in pietra. Sono possibili molteplici escursioni a piedi, per tutti i livelli, con partenza direttamente dall' "Olympic Center". La struttura è anche provvista di un ampio salone (che era la palestra della Colonia) attrezzato con tavolo da Ping - Pong, Canestro, Biliardino e porte per il Calcetto.
