We are just back from a family vacation in Trentino and we spent 6 nights at Hotel Margherita. A family friend who lives in the area recommended it, and indeed it turned out to be an excellent suggestion. The hotel is located on the road to Tenna and Levico and can easily be reached by car. However, since it is surrounded by the trees of a beautiful conifer forest, it is also very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are modern, luminous, spacious and very clean. The hotel offers 2 very enjoyable pools, one for children and one for adults. Beach bags, towels and chaises longues are put at the clients' disposal for free. Amenities include a jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam bath and a ping pong table, all not far from the pool area. A tennis court is also available upon reservation and there is a nice playground for children. The hotel restaurant is a real gem, serving very good local food at very reasonable prices. Guests can also dine at a nearby pizzeria that is owned by the hotel. Breakfast is included and features a rich buffet with many different kinds of local breads, butters and jams. We also had the opportunity to try very nice glasses of water, lemon and ginger or water with elderberry leaves: a very refreshing way to start the day! The hotel is conveniently located between the two lakes of Caldonazzo and Levico. Many well marked paths start from the hotel or pass by it, so if you like walks the place is ideal. It is also a very good base for those who enjoy bike riding in all its forms. Last but not least, one of the best features of the Hotel Margherita is its staff: competent, professional, extremely kind and always ready to help the guests. They even gave us a vase of local honey when we left! It has been one of the best hotel experiences in our life: it has been a real vacation and we came back very well rested. Thank you,...
Read moreWe stayed here with a group of waterskiers from the United States. We skied on Lake Caldinazzo which was a short drive from the hotel and an amazing walk from the hotel if you gave yourself about an hour. The hotel is on beautiful grounds with lush gardens. The pool area, which we did not have time to use but was our view from the room terrace was beautifully designed with the towering trees of the forest behind it. It was, quiet, serene and zen like and I enjoyed having my breakfast on the terrace morning before all our activity commenced. We stayed in a Junior suite which was like an apartment but without a kitchen. Large walk in closet and dressing area, living room space, bedroom and large walk in shower, bathroom equipped with a bidet if you so wish to use one. Breakfast was great. The staff very attentive although the lady at the front desk was not the most friendliest, she was always helpful. May have been the language barrier. The waiter at breakfast was amazing. Always offering services and food items that were not on the table like cook to order eggs or specialty coffee drinks. Breakfast was typical European with salami and prosciutto, tons of bread choices, fresh cut up fruit salad, yogurt, eggs swimming in butter, cereals, juices and coffee and tea. Loved it!!! The surroundings of the hotels were amazing. A tiny forest across the street with nice trails to hike around. Lily pond starts you out for an amazing walk across the street to the right. If you were to go left out of the hotel and onto the road, you can walk through the endless apple orchards with amazing mountain vistas in the background. HIghly recommend skiing on Lake Caldinazzo. It was the best water I've ever been in. Warm, glassy all hours of the day and almost pure...

Located on the ridge of the Tenna Hill, the hotel is surrounded by woodland with stunning views over the two lakes. The area is very well covered with a variety of routes for walkers, bikers or car drivers (they had a limited range of MTB to borrow at no charge) - leaflets provided by the hotel clearly show the routes. The walking and cycling can be demanding as there are some very steep slopes, The nearby village of Tenna is delightful.||The rooms are modern and very well appointed. The restaurant serves very good food and the pizzeria (also run by the family) is good. The pool area is very clean and there are ample loungers; the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are adjoining the pool. There is table tennis, boules and tennis - balls provided at no charge.||It was a great location for the elderly, couples, families with young children, those who enjoy relaxation and those who want something more active during the day.
