This was honestly the MOST HORRIBLE experience I have ever had with an accomodation.
Very aggressive and rude owner is just a start.
We booked apartment for 10 and 4 people, the reception was closed when we arrived and the owner called in advance that he is leaving the keys in rooms and if there is any problem, we should let him know on the number he called from. When we arrived, the bed linens, blankets and pillows were prepared just for 12 people so 2 of us had to sleep without it for the whole stay.
In the big apartment for 10 people was one WC/bathroom with one roll of toilet paper for three days and without key.
The WiFi was in a hotel, but for password you had to ask on the reception.
In a apartment facilities description was mentioned a coffee machine, but it was without capsulles, dishwashers were without tablets, 1 sponge and dishwashing liquid were shared between both apartments. The hairdryer in one apartment was not working and the lights in one of the bathrooms were strongly blinking in intervals (like a stroboskop – could be very dangerous if you struggling with epilepsy). We were also charged for towels and bed linens (10€ per person), even we did bring our own (which is written as a possibility when you make a reservation).
The reception was closed for all the time and on the number which owner gave us nobody responding, not for calls either for SMS.
The last day owner has come, we told him what happened and we truly expected some kind of apology. Instead of it he started yelling at us and he started to be very rude. One of us tried to take a video of his behaviour, which made him furious. He started even more aggresively yell at her and „YOU ARE A TOTALLY STUPID WOMAN!!“ was just a start of his offending. It lead her to tears and as we were pretty scared, we decided to pay the reservation and solve everything throught the booking customer support, which we also contacted during the stay.
However, the owner after our payment cancelled the reservation on Booking, trying to prevent from this review, but he had forgotten that we still have posibility to rate this hotel on Google. So do not really trust the good reviews on Booking, asi you can see here, we were not only one who had troubles with the owner!
So this is just kind warning for you, if you are thinking of staying at this place, do not do it if you do not want to have your vaccation get ruined. THIS IS DEFFINITELY THE WORST PLACE WHERE TO STAY WHEN YOU...
Read moreWe stayed here for a couple of nights and we were really happy with everything. We had a two bedroom apartment, which was overlooking the pool and the mountains. Inside the apartment we had everything we needed. Spacious bathroom (super clean!) and a kitchen with coffee machine, microwave, fridge and freezer and anything else you may need. The apartment was very clean and the beds were comfortable. A highlight was that you could open the windows towards the pool completely, so that it felt like you were having breakfast outside, it was absolutely wonderful. ||The pool: now the pool was beautiful, lots of sundbeds around and the water wasn't as cold as I expected, I believe they were heating the pool through solar energy. Again, the pool was also very clean and you can definitely spend the day there and forget about life. AND here is the best thing: they also have a whirlpool at the SPA that you can use free of charge.||And yes, they have a SPA too! ||Whilst we had self catering and had breakfast in the apartment, I believe the restaurant also offers breakfast. There are two tiny supermarkets in the villlage that offer everything you need to cater for yourself.||We had dinner twice at the restaurant belonging to the owners of the apartment and the food was delicious. The restaurant is right beneath the pool.||They have a wood fired oven, where they make HUGE pizzas for a very decent price and also the pasta is nice there too. They also have a grill for freshly grilled fish and meat which was super tasty as well! The staff was lovely and attended to our needs, although there was a bit of a language barrier but nothing that couldn't be resolved by sign language haha. ||The road up to this little village is a real adventure, it goes through the mountains and is nothing for the faint hearted, but gosh it sure was fun driving up this tiny road! I think a lot of cyclists and bikers would come up this road for the thrill and panoramic views. If you prefer a bigger road, you can always follow the signs that say tremosine from a little town called Limone, as this road is wider and easier to drive especially with large vehicles. ||||All in all, a wonderful pleasant stay, lovely staff, lovely grounds, clean apartment. ||We will definitely be...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights whilst climbing in the area. We were a large group of seven and they accommodated us between two apartments. The cost was very reasonable and the rooms are of a good size. It is quite basic accommodation but we had everything we needed with balconies overlooking the swimming pool. The configuration of the rooms was ideal, with separate sleeping areas, sofa beds and kitchen dining areas.||Making the reservation was not easy, as the owners spoke little English and I was nervous I had been understood. I paid a deposit and took the risk..... I am glad I did.||In September the other residents were mostly German couples and it was a very quiet ambiance. The owners were very helpful and looked after us very well. Their English was not very good and so we were glad to have a fluent Italian speaker on the team. There was ample parking but that would get busier in high season.||We ate in the restaurant which was very nice, and they have a pizzeria where you can take away lovely pizzas very reasonably.||You might think access is not for the feint hearted or large vehicles (we had a transit van and were fine). The residence is found about 15 minutes drive from the side of the lake, up a most beautiful mountain road, through tunnels and tight twisting bends. But this is Italy and this is a beautiful area and we were fine. Riva del Garda is about 40 minutes away where you have...
