B&B Poggio di Mare is everything Sicily stands for: delicious food, a beautiful environment, hospitality, and a lot of nature. You wake up by the smell of freshly baked croissants. You enjoy a lovely cup of coffee, or in our case a cappuco and thee. Anna makes delicious pastries and there is a sanwich wich italian cheese, tomatos, olive oil and sardines, wich is something the sicilians eat a lot. (With some luck there are pastries left to enjoy at the end of the day). You enjoy your breakfast on a little terras overviewing olive trees, the sicilian mountains and the clear blue sea. The rooms are clean and the interior is very relaxing. It is a typical italian villa with antique furniture in the livingroom. There is also a tennis court wich we didn't use but was very lovely. Definatly go up there for the view!||||When you arrive at The B&B, Pucho the host, tells you were all the nice places in the area are located. He draws a map of the area wich was our travelguide during our stay. He even knows a lot about Trapani, wich restaurants to go to, bars etc. We went to dinner at a restaurant called Paradiso. We had the most Amazing pasta: pesto trapanese and pasta scopello, the wine is also delicious and while eating you can enjoy the sea view. The town we visited the most was San Vito Lo Capo. A little town with mostly restaurants, local shops and bars near a beach with clear blue water and a view over the rocky mountains of sicily. When we were there, there was a little festival with kites in all kinds of shapes and music at night in front of the churge. There is a nice place (like pucho would say) for street food called 'Frish'. It's definatly worth trying, keep in mind you have to like couscous, the owner is very proud of his couscous! The other restaurant we went to was 'Sombrero', here you can eat delicious pizza and antipasta, there is a whole terras hidden at the back of the restaurant. For fine cuisine we dinned at Crik & Crok, were the fish is very fresh and the pasta is to die for. This was the first rastaurant where we ordered a first course and a second. The portions are smaller but the price isn't high and as said it is fine cuisine. ||||We highly recommend this B&B! There are a lot of B&B's in the area but this is the most authenitic. The ideal place to enjoy the sicilian atmosphere: 'dolce far niente' like the...
