Hotel Ca' Tron was perfect for me on a weekend where the cost for a room on Venice was extremely high. It is nested in beautiful town of Dolo. The hotel was very accommodating, permitting me to check in a little earlier than expected. A full tour of ground and area restaurants and places was helpful. Breakfast and drinks, coffee are available in the main lobby. ||My room was perfect, clean beyond expectations with daily rooms service. The restroom was oversized in my opinion with a toliet and bidet. The bed mattress was perfect for a good night of rest. Water pressure was more than adequate, hot water temperature was quick to come up and no issue with drainages in sink or shower stall. Towels were mroe than adequate,||There is a small fridge to keep beverages cool and maybe leftovers or fruit and TV functioned with a clear signal for many local networks (which was good to keep up on weather).||As one would expect, there is a bit of road noise if the window is opened, but once closed, it is not a bother for sleeping.||There was no need for heat or air conditioning.||This hotel had a parking space which I used for my rental.||I walked into town on a couple occasions, which was pleasant and a highlight strolling through backroads into Dolo's restaurants and open air market . Consider 15-20 minutes if you intend to do so. ||I did take the public bus ACTV 53e into Venice and Mestre. Each bus stop (arrive and depart) 2-4 minute walk from hotel entry. Consider 45-60 minute bus ride directly into Piazza Roma station in Venice.||I actually have no pictures to post, however, hotel photos found on hotel website and Expedia are 100% actual and representative of my stay.||Lastly, Aurora was pleasant and helpful and her passion to make visitors comfortable during the stay at Hotel Ca' Tron was...
Read moreWe got this as a gift from my husband's boss, so we weren't really You sure what to expect. We flew into the Marco Polo airport in the latter evening and needed to take a bus to the bus station in Venice. The airport is not huge and the transportation/bus ticket stand is on you way out to the left. You will see everyone lined up here. It cost 8€/pp and an additional 8€ to get to Dolo. The trip is close to an hour total. Be sure when you buy your ticket for the second leg, you buy a return ticket as well. Otherwise you will have to walk 10 minutes to a nearby town for the Tobacco shop to buy tickets as there is nothing close to hotel. When getting to the bus terminal, you are looking for bus 53E towards Padova/Dolo/Stra. I think it comes at every 20/50 minutes on the hour i.e. 9:29 & 9:50. The return bus should say 53E Venezia. Where it is parked is indicated by the sign in the ticket office. It will say like B7. Then go look for that sign. There is a bus stop just outside hotel. It comes up after the second large roundabout. I asked the bus driver and he was sure to let us off on the right stop. It is hard to see the upcoming stops in the dark, so be vigilant. Italians are so nice! | This is a simple hotel and we don't require much. We needed a late check/in which cost 50€, but it was fine. The room was clean. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast was good European fare (rolls, coffee, fruit, toast, yogurt). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant next to the hotel, but I think you need reservations which we did not have. Hence another walk into town. If you don't want a hotel that will cost an arm and a...
Read moreMy partner and I returned a week ago from a lovely weekend break to Venice. We were allocated a place at this hotel following poor customer service prior to our visit from a different hotel.|The hotel was approx 40 minutes from the centre of Venice but was easily accessible on the 53E bus route which ran regularly at a cost of €8pp return. Whilst the commute wasn't ideal, it gave us the opportunity to see other little towns which was nice. We had to be vigilant on our return though as seeing the hotel in the dark through the bus window was tricky until we got our bearings. It really wasn't a problem though.|The room was simple, clean and comfortable and was all we needed considering how little we were in it.|The breakfast was more than the croissant and coffee we had expected so was a nice surprise. It was simple but very nice and the 2 ladies who served us were very friendly and attentive.|The aforementioned ladies also manned reception and were really lovely. They were helpful with bus routes and were generally very amenable and polite.|Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend...
