We loved Hotel Huber. We spent there 1 week of our swiss winterferien. Daughter was going each day yo 2 hours ski course in the morning. There was a shuttle bus bringing kids to the cable car station, where the course was taking place, but we did not use it. The hotel has also mini club, where kids can stay and parents can ski. They offer various activities for kids up to 7 and older. She went to visit a farm and for pony riding and to make own cocktails at the bar. The area is dedicated to skiing in winter. There are easy slopes, one reachable on foot from the hotel with separately paid lift. Taking the lift you can reach all other slopes where the cable car goes. On the other side, gitchberg, there are also nice and well prepared slopes, reachable by the second cable car. Ski ticket is pricy, around 50 euro per day. The ski school vals jochtal was awesome and my daughter learned a lot. Food at the hotel is very good, even too good, we have eaten too much 😋 In the afternoon we used often a beautiful swimming pool, which has also outdoor part. It was fantastic to stay outdoor in the hot water and watch stars. The slide is short but kids loved it. It made me dizzy but kids made like 15 times every day. There is also sauna, very helpful after a day of skiing. There are lockers to put skis and boots close to the garage. Hotel is very cosy, service helpful and nice, all designed to kids. Very mix of families, swiss, german, italian. Kids playing with each other, making friends. We are very happy and for sure will return. Highly recommended...
Read moreHotel is very family focused and our kids (10 and 13) loved the pool and teenie area. They could roam free and no one batted an eyelid over noise from children. Rooms are spacious, clean and when asked I was provided with a choice of different pillows so that was much appreciated.|Transport of kids to ski school with the hotel bus is super easy and makes life for parents easy.|Breakfast buffet was plenty and good choice. Lunch buffet was basic but that was fine for us as we were out skiing most days. |Afternoon tea - this is different from what English people would expect. It's the Austrian/ German typical "Kaffee und Kuchen" so don't expect sandwiches (that is a British thing). Cakes were lovely though and one day they did fresh Kaiserschmarrn which the kids loved coming off a day's skiing.|Dinner was good, I struggled a bit as a vegetarian as the choice was limited especially when it was antipasti from the buffet. There could be more variety in the salads and vegetarian options on offer. My husband was happy with the meat options and apparently had the best tuna steak in his life. Again, you're in Italy so you have primi and secondi piatti and what British people would consider the main dish could come across as small...but that is because you would have had antipasti, salad and primi...|Overall, if you're after a good quality hotel on the slopes, don't want to worry about the kids then this is a great...
Read moreThis hotel is extremely over priced for what you actually get. The kids club and pool is great but the food and lodging is not worth the money. Afternoon tea is just cakes , a few sandwiches would have been welcomed but literally just cakes. The buffet was basic at lunch and dinner , and when ordering the dishes from the menu they were so small , theres al a carte then there is 2 prawns on a plate . If this hotel was half the price you would say its was acceptable and a good effort. Lunch was either pizza one day, then burgers and the other chicken legs and the same salad buffet and bread everyday. They state all inclusive soft drinks but you cannot order sodas from the bar and only at the self|Service machine and coffees and hot drinks only available until 5pm then you must pay. The farm is a 20 minute walk on a dangerous road but made to look like its on website. Rooms either boiling hot or freezing and main bed is two beds pushed together in the suites. The hotel in peak time would be too small and very easy to spread germs. Multiple families by the end of the trip had the same|Cough and attitude of staff when you had a problem was like “okay” as it seems they have a lot of custom and do not need returning business. Good hotel if cheaper but not...
