Tragedy! The worst hotel I have ever stayed in!
I spent almost a week at Hotel Felice in Falcade, and it was the worst stay of my life. From day one, there were disgusting situations. At dinner, we were given reusable napkins in an envelope, which were clearly never washed. Every day, I received a stained napkin – one time covered in some green liquid, another time with something red. Absolutely revolting!
The food? A disaster! The potatoes were undercooked, and some dishes were simply inedible. When I told the waitress that the potatoes were hard, she just thanked me, took my plate away, and never brought a replacement! Complete disrespect for the guest.
But the worst part was that most of the food was cheap, low-quality ready-made meals. The lasagna, fish, and some minced meat cutlet fried in deep oil were clearly frozen meals – I saw with my own eyes how a delivery truck pulled up to the hotel every morning, unloading supplies. Later, all of that ended up on our plates—tasteless, dry, and greasy.
And the service? Terrible. The hotel owner – a young, entitled man – behaved outrageously. He was rude, unhelpful, and argumentative. The rooms were cold, so we repeatedly asked for the radiators to be turned up. Eventually, he came to us with a thermometer and started yelling at us in Italian, claiming it was warm and that we were making things up. When one of our friends asked again for the heating to be increased, he was told, "You can take a shower to warm up." Seriously?! Is this how customers are treated?
On top of that, the hotel was in terrible condition. One of our friends’ beds broke – and it turned out it had been glued together with hot glue and tape! The owner told them that normally he wouldn’t charge for it, but since "there were a lot of people in the room and there was a party," he demanded €70 for the damage, even though they were non-drinkers and there was no party at all.
The hygiene in this place was appalling. The tablecloths were never changed for an entire week—only the crumbs were swept away while the stains remained. Absolutely disgusting! The hotel has three stars on its sign, but one of them is covered—perfectly reflecting the quality of this place.
I’m giving it 2 stars only because the owner’s father was decent and could at least be spoken to. Everything else? A nightmare. I will never come back here and strongly advise everyone to stay away...
