Relais Villa Belvedere — Hotel in Figline e Incisa Valdarno

Our family spent a lazy week in Relais Villa Belvedere, driving around in Chianti region, taking half or full days at the pool and enjoying local or a bit more far-away restaurants in the evenings, all depending on the weather and the mood in the family. |When looking for this type of accomodation You are always a bit afraid to trust too much on the pictures on the internet, but for the first time it was the other way around. Reality was much more beautiful than the pictures. The best about Relais Villa Belvedere is that it is so well kepton a continuous daily basis, like a true family mansion. Everything is done with a big heart, without too much fuzz but definitely with a big smile and genuine thought. |A perfectly balanced local breakfast is served every day below the peach trees in the garden, definitely a daily must. The pool and it's surroundings is the biggest and the best one we've seen in 20 years in Tuscany. The apartments are spacious, home-like decorated with good bathrooms and functioning air-conditioning. The garden is very well kept on a daily basis, everything is watered and immediately fixed. The gadren is also very spacious, guaranteeing enough of privacy for everybody, either to enjoy outdoors a breakfast or a self-cooked dinner or just to sit and watch the Tuscany nightsky with a bottel of rosé. It's location was perfect for us, easy and quick access to Firenze or Siena, all the lovely small cities in Chianti-region and all the outlets (not just the one 5 mins away). |We will definitely come back again, it's not worth to continue looking for a perfect location once...

The pool is nice and the property itself. That's about it. Maybe to add its proximity to the big luxury brands outlet. ||||Our apartment was NOT clean, which is why I also share pictures of the spiderwebs at the couch, of the bathroom, kitchen, kitchen sponge and dishes. The apartments in the tower, which holds two of the nine apartments, do NOT look like the pictures provided by the property managers. The kitchen is a joke, you need to clean the dishes yourself and the provided breakfast is NOT a breakfast. Our first morning we didn't have a breakfast at all. The bathroom is small, old and full of mold - pictures attached. Overall ventilation of the tower is poor - the guests in the other apartment used so much garlic for their dinner that we enjoyed the smell for two full days and there was nothing the staff could do about it. The street in front of the house is very busy, even at nights a car drives by fast and every 4 SECONDS, not every 4 minutes. You even hear the local train and the high-speed trains from the...

Aan reviews van latere passanten te zien werd er precies behoorlijk opgeruimd en aandacht gegeven aan onze klachten. Helaas kregen wij deze aandacht niet van het management. Laat staan enig begrip of compensatie. Wij zijn alvast 2100 euro (zes nachten) armer en een grote ontgoocheling rijker. Dank u wel Villa Belvedere !!! De accommodatie is helemaal niet idyllisch gelegen. Het domein is gelegen aan de rand van een vuil en aftands dorp waar niks te zien/beleven valt. Eén uur voor aankomst dient er gebeld te worden naar een toegestuurd telefoonnummer van een hotel in de buurt. De sleutel van het appartement dient daar afgehaald te worden. Wij werden onvriendelijk te woord gestaan aan de telefoon. Wij kregen appartement nr 4 toegewezen. Bijzonder donker en ongezellig. Aan de achterzijde van het appartement ligt de master bedroom. Voorzien van een balkonnetje van 2 vierkante meter dat gedeeld wordt met de buren. De houten versleten klapstoeltjes gebruik je uit veiligheidsoverwegingen beter niet. Verder is er ook niks te zien behalve wat vuile gebouwen, een autosnelweg en een spoorweg in de verte. Om de zoveel minuten razen treinen voorbij. De kinderen sliepen op “zolder”. Bijzonder ongezellig en donker. Het ontbreekt aan een vaatwasser, microgolf en deftige wijnglazen in de keuken. Geen enkel appartement beschikt over een eigen deftig terras. Er kan gebruik gemaakt worden van gemeenschappelijke tafels en stoelen. Sommige in erbarmelijke staat of kapot. Het domein zelf is totaal niet onderhouden. Gras en onkruid tot wel 20 cm hoog. De hagen en bomen zijn niet gesnoeid. Overal slingert er vuil rond. Tal van kussens van de ligbedden aan het zwembad zijn gescheurd, versleten of vuil. Op recente foto's te zien dat deze nu allemaal zorgvuldig werden weggehaald....Het voetbad aan het zwembad rijkelijk voorzien van dorre bladeren. Alle metalen roosters rondom het zwembad zijn roest. Het ontbijt wordt genomen op een terrasje aan de achterkant van het hoofdgebouw. Voorzien van kleine tafeltjes en metalen klapstoeltjes. Sommige zijn volledig verroest en bieden totaal geen zitcomfort. U kijkt op dit terras uit op een vuile kapotte tuinschuur. Bij slecht weer dient er binnen ontbeten te worden. Dit dient echter in shifts te gebeuren want er zijn slechts een vijftal tafeltjes beschikbaar binnen. Ik schreef het management 2x aan over de erbarmelijke situatie maar...
