Aug2017: 3 stars: The chef changed a few months ago .. not the same research at all. The food is correct but not the same level than before. I was not served a filet of beef on a toast since I was 15 in Netherlands. Even there we cannot find this anymore .. The chef should reinvent his cuisine or the owner reinvent his chef. Aug2016: 5 stars .. We had an excellent evening dinner in what is probably the best new italian cuisine I discovered over the 4 recent years. An inspiration of modern dishes with innovative italian touch. The service is outstanding and the price are affordable although slightly more expensive than the traditional pizzeria.. The price for a bottle of wine can range from 10€ to 200€, with a large choice for less than 30€. The dishes are around 15€ to 25€. The quality/cost ratio is very favorable and due to attention of details and quality of the product, in addition to this innovative mind set. Certainly a address that deserve to come a few times fully perceived what is can offer.

Chanced upon this small restaurant after visiting the Mall. Loved the decor in a cellar. Food was tasty, especially the beef cheek. More importantly, the servers were sweet & pleasant. They were extremely efficient too. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Ambiente molto curato e particolare, sala con le volte a soffitto e pure la zona all'aperto è molto carina e curata. Il servizio cortese, disponibile a darti consigli sia sui piatti e sui vini. I piatti buoni, con prodotti freschi, ricercati, e presentati in modo curato. Abbiamo provato sia i piatti di mare e di pesce, (consiglio di provare la guancia su letto di crema di patate). Anche i dolci sono buonissimi... Il locape si presta benissimo per occasioni speciali (anniversari/compleanni) sia per una cenetta al lume di candela. Non ve ne pentirete!

Je me demandais où le coup frapperait. Au Canada ? Aux États-Unis ? En Angleterre ? Dans un de ces pays qui colportent (à tort) une image de médiocre restauration ? Je ne l'ai pas vu venir, mais c'est d'Italie, qui souvent hisse haut la gastronomie, que la cruelle désillusion est venue : bim ! mon premier 1 étoile Google. Et pour reprendre une formule lue souvent, je mets une étoile faute de pouvoir n'en mettre aucune. Je vous présente l'Hostaria Ceccotoccami. Au demeurant, joli établissement sur les bords de l'Arno. Réservation un soir d'août pour 20h30, 7 personnes. La commande est prise. Entrées, plats, du pif. Il doit être 20h40 maintenant. Tenez-vous bien, les entrées de deux convives, oui oui, deux sur sept, arrivent vers 22h30. Près de deux heures pour préparer quelques bruschettas, qu'on me dit être heureusement plutôt bonnes. Une troisième assiette arrivera un quart d'heure plus tard. Puis, dans une inorganisation de claque de campagne, des plats commencent à arriver, suivis par quelques dernières entrées. Soyons honnêtes, les côtes de bœuf sont superbes. J'ai eu moins de chance que mes amis : on m'a présenté un tartare de thon sans intérêt et un risotto qu'on n'oserait pas servir dans un camping ; m'en fous, après deux heures d'attente, je serais prêt à manger même une paire de bottines. Les deux serveurs dévolus à cet immense endroit courent comme des canards sans tête, desservant quatre-à-quatre tous les étages et entresols, prenant soin de ne jamais croiser nos regards, de peur d'être alpagués. Ils sont deux, il en faudrait huit. Les assiettes s'accumulent sur des tables qu'on ne fait même plus semblant de débarrasser. Les clients alentour, qui maîtrisent la langue, échangent des noms d'oiseau avec le personnel contrit. L'ambiance devient fellinienne. Nous avons fini de manger, on se prépare à partir ; tiens, voici les légumes pour la viande qui arrivent. Ils nous étaient sortis de la tête. En fin de soirée, un homme qu'on identifie comme le manager de ce fiasco fait mine de ne parler qu'italien et reste sourd à notre désolation. L'homme fait le beau et se fiche manifestement de ses clients. Il semble fier de son service du soir, et pourtant il fait la honte de sa corporation. Et personnifiant pour nous ce soir là ce que devrait être la belle gastronomie de ce grand pays, il fait la honte de l'Italie...

Leggendo le varie recensioni super positive ho percorso ben 70 km per mangiare in questo posto e sono rimasta veramente delusa.. Eravamo in 4 ed abbiamo optato per ordinare come antipasto tre menù degustazione e una polentina con moscardini, poi a seguire due pici al sugo di cinghiale e due tagliatelle ai totani e gamberi su fondo di cavolo nero, quattro dolci, 2 bottiglie di Bolgheri e 4 caffè per un totale di 210,00€ (50,00 a testa quindi), ma andiamo con ordine. Locale molto carino e di tendenza che unisce la tradizione al moderno, atmosfera rilassante e piacevole. Scelta di vini (una ventina in totale) dai 12,00€ in sù e il nostro Bolgheri era da 30€ (bottiglia che solitamente costa la metà, ma molto buono quindi niente da ridire). I tre menù degustazione comprendevano rispettivamente: affettati vari (molto buoni), tocchetti di formaggio pecorino (molto buono), un crostino al pomodoro (indecente perché totalmente scondito e senza sapore), uno sformato (totalmente insapore e anonimo), due crostini con pâte di fegato (bordi del pâte scuri alias erano stati già spalmati ORE prima perché sono toscana e li preparo anch'io), un crostino cipolla e lardo, un assaggio di ribollita (praticamente pane e acqua senza nessuna somiglianza con il classico piatto tipico come ha ammesso persino il titolare del ristorante), un crostino di polenta e funghi. La polentina con moscardini era terrificante perché più che polenta sembrava semolino ed era completamente privo di sale con tre pezzi di moscardino ripieno sopra. I pici al sugo erano piuttosto "light" nel senso che il sugo corposo e succulento tipico toscano era parecchio "acquoso e lavato". Le tagliatelle erano troppo cotte e monosapore (burro, burro e ancora burro e basta) su una riduzione di broccoli (niente a che vedere col cavolo nero). Dolci: cantucci e vinsanto buoni, io ho provato la crostatina di pasta frolla con crema calda e mele pseudo caramellate (in realtà ricoperte di zucchero a velo e basta), poi cheese cake destrutturato con frutti di bosco e tiramisù. Il prezzo ci è sembrato decisamente esagerato vista la qualità delle portate, essendo toscani purtroppo conosciamo bene piatti tipici come la ribollita o un semplice crostino al pomodoro fresco e non siamo rimasti per niente...
