We were very well received by Alberto and Alma, who gave us a lot of tips about the touristic spots around the area.||Not only they had information about the scenery routes, but also about the local food production, such as sausages, butter and apples, and also the culture of the Varaita Valley.||The restaurant recommendation was also spot on! They served us a banquet at a very reasonable price.||Overall the room was clean and comfortable to spend the night since it's very quiet. The river run a few meters from the house, and it's quite peaceful to lie down after a long trip and just listen to the water running.||The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise with bread, cakes, local butter, home made jam, and the local salami.||I wish I could have stayed a little longer to explore this beautiful region.||Alberto is a very interesting person, and we have spent quite some time chatting. B&B Barba is a quaint, little B&B nestled in the beautiful Val Variata. With the Cottian Alps to the north and the Maritime Alps to the south this is a perfect place for hikers.
