Our experience with Tenuta Sant-Ilario is by far the worst we've had so far in Italy. We have booked a weekend for 10 families with 5 kids for a family event. We have agreed to have breakfast, and 2 dinners plus a wine tasting and a cocktail garden buffet. The location itself is a typical Tuscan accommodation with a nice view. Not much to comment on the location except the fact that we have booked 10 rooms for 10 families and we have been given an apartment (Orcio) that was supposed to have 3 rooms and accomodate 3 families with 3 infants. 2 of the rooms were ok with their own bathroom and had 3 kid cribs as requested (one was broken and unusable), while the 3'rd room was in the attic, the bed was 180x120 with a height of 120 cm with no stair to climb on. For sure this was a "room" if we can call it this way for 1 or 2 kids that have some serious gymnastic skills in order to be able to climb in or out of the bed. When we have kindly asked to get another room for our parents that were supposed to stay there, we've been told that unfortunately all the resort is full and that they are sorry for not informing us that this 3'rd room has no bathroom and has a very small bed in the attic. So far so good if we can say it like this. The first dinner was a total disaster. Some cheap pasta with Pomodoro sauce as a starter and a second course with a duck leg that they said it was Guinea fowl and caramelized onion (the duck leg still had some hair on it). As for the kids menu they served the same cheap pasta and a so called "burger" (photo to be seen) that consisted of potatoes and a slice of ground beef rare done with blood on the plate. Imagine serving this to your kids. When we have asked what is that we have received a very rude reply that that is the way they make the burger (with no bread, lettuce, tomato or any kind of sauce) and they can not prepare it in another way. We have asked for something else for the kids like chicken breast or some different pasta and they said that they can not prepare anything else. Second day (event day) the so called wine tasting consisted of 1 type of white wine, a Chardonnay that we have served the night before and a single type of red wine (50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet). For the cocktail garden buffet we've had the same cheese and meat slices (salami/prosciutto) like we've had all 3 breakfasts plus some Pomodoro sauce and 2-3 different types of bread. The event dinner again a total disaster. All the other tables in the restaurant were being served and our 20 person table had to wait until around 21:40 to get the first course motivating that they do not serve the dinner until everybody sits down at the dinner table (people waiting outside to have a glass of wine in the garden until the first course was to arrive) Again the plating and the courses was by far the worst culinary experience we've ever had not only in Italy but all over the world. I uploaded a photo with was supposed to be the main course from the event dinner (pork slices and potatoes). Above all the culinary disappointment, nobody came into the rooms to change the towels or add some more toilet paper (that runned out from the second day). All our conversation were with a women called Cristina that we have thought that is a kind of manager but she was the one to make the accommodation and Food & beverage offer, send the contracts, asked for all payment in advance 30 days prior to arrival, serve the dinners, perform the so called wine tasting, serve the so called Cocktail buffet. The rudeness and arrogance of this is women have nothing to do with the hospitality industry. We will never come back to this place and for sure do not recommend anybody to have an event in...

What a lovely place! If you want to experience movie like Tuscany- that’s the place. Nice and quiet. Perfect to have some rest, enjoy quietness and slow life.

What I love about this place is the slow life you can experience. They got just few rooms and villas so it is not overcrowded overcrowded. Totally recommended for couples or families with elder children. It would be totally ruined if screaming children would be running all over the place.

Rooms are Cosy and comfortable. However you can feel weird smell all over them (like the detergent or something). Baths has not too many scheltest, especially on the shower. I had to put my cosmetics on the shower flor.

You rest near the nice pool, surrounded with olives trees and a perfect olives garden view.

At the eve ring you can enjoy romantic sunset over the...

We had an amazing stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, walking across it and the pool area seemed like something out of a movie. The staff is very supportive and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! I don't think I ever had a better one, with hams, salames, cheese, a lot of sweets, croissants, and a very gracious lady who prepares your coffee in the morning. The restaurant is very very good, with nice and friendly staff, English speaking, delicious meals, good wine for a fair price (they have they own Chianti which is amazing). Amazing! Can't say it enough, will totally get back in the future! Just make sure you follow staff's instructions on how to get to the hotel. Google Maps will send you through a terrible road. There's a way better road just a little...
