Pieve stupenda in verrucano !! Per chi ,come me, viene dalla piana di Cascina ( Pisa ) sa che il verrucano è la roccia per eccellenza del monte Verruca ( tra l'altro visibilissimo dalla pieve ). Trovare del verrucano usato così in abbondanza è semplicemente scioccante. Poi leggi la legenda del parco turistico di Gambassi,posta fuori sul piazzale, e scopri che nel territorio esiste una cava di verrucano.

Architettonicamente stupenda!!

Aperta martedì, giovedì, venerdì e sabato dalle 16 alle 19 per tutto il mese...

Bellissima questa Pieve di Santa Maria in Chianni , lungo la via Francigena a 1km dal centro di Gambassi. Nella stessa struttura vi è anche l'ostello 'sigerico' luogo ideale x la sosta e il pernottamento...

Trovare del verrucano usato così in abbondanza è semplicemente scioccante. Poi leggi la legenda del parco turistico di Gambassi,posta fuori sul piazzale, e scopri che nel territorio esiste una cava di verrucano. Architettonicamente stupenda!! Purtroppo solo vista dall'esterno, e questa è stata già una una magica esperienza. Un piazzale largo per la macchina ma pieno di cespugli e fiori, un bel panorama, una facciata dal sapore secolare, un giardinetto per il relax!
