Residence - Camping "Il Cicero" — Hotel in Gioiosa Marea

Extremely unprofessional treatment of guests, who demand what is written and promised in the reservation. During our stay, there was no internet, what is very important for job of my girlfriend. The bed linen and towels were not changed every day. On the request to change the room, due to poor and unfulfilled conditions, the gentleman, who is the director of the complex, did not agree with it. I also want to mention the conditioning with electricity consumption, as well as the removal and cleaning of garbage, every day, which we agreed on in a minimally polite way. it was definitely not written anywhere, and it's also not my job. After they stated that it is best to leave the whises at our request, which, as I said, were stated during the reservation, and stated that they would return the money in full, some 100 km from their fraudulent residence, I received a notification through booking that the same should be paid for the night. After talking with the really kind booking.com staff, we managed to cancel the reservation without additional costs, and reported the il cicero residence as a location of suspicious behavior. We’ve just been to il Cicero for 12 nights . 2 adults and two boys aged 11&14. We rented a bungalow ( number 11) |The bungalow is very smart and tidy with a nice patio area outside to relax after a day at the pool or beach. The inside is clean with nice comfortable beds, always hot water and just what you’d expect for the money.|The pool area is very nice too and the beach is just across the road.|The staff are all very nice and will do anything they can to help.|But, there is a train line literally 6 feet from the bedroom window that runs from 05.00 to 23.30 . About 3-4 times an hour . This can literally shake you awake in the morning. Also there is a nightclub next door which plays very loud music until 06.00 ( like this morning)|What we didn’t realise though is that everything is quite a drive from there, there’s not much really to see or do around the hotel. If you want to explore the island then expect long drives.|But if you just want a relaxing holiday around the pool then this is just right . ( if you sleep...

Depending on expectations and price paid, this place can be a nice self catering solution for families with a very low budget, with small children, big dogs, etc. But when you come on a tour ...not so much. I could write a lot about the bungalows, but just say that between the night screams of the Italian neighbors and the train passing just under my window, only the horrible screaching of damaged door of the toilet could be worse. Not to forget the numberless insects, lizards and the big rat we saw on the fence of the compund. 🪲🐀🐀🪳🕷.🦎.Obviously, in 7 nights no one will clean your room (sorry, I am not here to clean sinks and floors). One other drawback is the rain shower...made to lower water consumption. Good luck trying to wash yourself in an adequate manner.With the 1 very small soap offered for 7 days and 2 people 🤣🤣🤣 Well, I will stop here because obviously nothing will change 😨. Happy that at least I have my noise cancelling earplugs or else I might be tempted to sleep on...
