We absolutely loved our stay at Le Parfum du Sel. We originally were scheduled to stay here in the spring of 2020, but that was sadly cancelled due to the COVID situation throughout the world at that time. During 2020 we kept in contact with Virginia as we had to cancel and rebook many times due to the severity of the situation throughout the world and the ever-changing travel restrictions at that time. During this process, Virginia was unbelievably kind, accommodating, and hospitable. We realize how much work it must have been to cancel and re-book so many times, and we thank you so very much. Virginia is truly the best!||||Upon arrival, we were greeted by Simone, who spoke to us in great detail about recommendations to do and see in the area and provided us with very helpful brochures and maps. We also had a visit booked to Skyway Monte Bianco the following day, and the weather was expected to be foggy and raining. Simone made several phone calls and did everything in his power to help us change the reservation to another day with better weather, so we could enjoy perfect unobstructed views. We thank you so much for this. We also had 2 visits booked for wineries while we were there, but both wineries asked if we could call a few days prior just to schedule an exact time for our arrival, as they were both very busy during harvest time. Simone called both wineries for us and confirmed our visits. Simone was absolutely amazing during the entire stay! We thank you so very much!||||In order for us to return to the United States we needed to get Covid tests and sign some documents and Virginia printed all the necessary forms that we needed and scheduled Covid tests for us at the local pharmacy on our behalf. Virginia and Simone were both so unbelievably kind and accommodating, we felt like we were good friends, and they had welcomed us into their home. We spoke to them about upcoming travel, skiing, wine, nature, their dogs, and had a great time. ||||The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful and very, very clean. Everything was decorated beautifully, breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the wood burning sauna was a wonderful amenity. We will be back to...

Read moreWe stayed for 1 week middle of February 2024. Le Parfum du Sel is located in the town of Jovençan, which is opposite Aosta City, just 10 min. by car to the center. The house reflects the typical style of the Aosta valley, yet inside it is modern as well as very tastefully furnished and decorated. The room (we stayed in le Soleil) welcomes you with a nice herbal scent and offers all you need for a couple. Most of all, we really felt very welcomed by our host and the staff accompanied by two sweet dogs ;-). This place is perfect, because one can retreat from the buzzling city, drive to different valleys for walks or go skiing (cable car from Aosta takes you to Pila resort above). Aosta city as lots to offer; good food and wine, shopping or just enjoying a good coffee on the piazza. Not to mention all the historical sites from the ancient Romans. We will definately come back again - we fell in love with Aosta and the warm hospitality of Le Parfum du Sel. Tipp: watch Rocco Schiavonne - Ice cold murders. Scenes are filmed in and around Aosta. Many thanks to Virgina ! Cheers from...
