My wife and I stayed at the Quatro Passi B&B for one night in July 2017 and highly recommend it for anyone looking for more budget accommodation in Ladispoli. The pros and cons of the property, in our opinion, are as follows:||||PROS:||1. GLADYS: By far the best thing about this property is the owner, Gladys. She makes what I would normally rate a 3-star property, a 4-star property. She is rightly proud of her property and it is clear she has worked hard to make it a pleasant experience.||2. IMMACULATELY CLEAN: Gladys’ pride in her property is abundantly clear by how clean and spotless the B&B is. I’ve stayed in 5-star hotels that weren’t as clean as the Quatro Passi B&B.||3. BREAKFAST: OK, so it’s a bed and BREAKFAST, but Gladys provides a very good continental breakfast. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. Also, the common breakfast room is very nice with bright and cheerful colors.||4. COFFEE/TEA MAKING: A pet peeve of mine, but I generally like to have even rudimentary coffee/tea making facilities in my room. And while there is no coffee/tea making in the room, there is a great coffee machine and tea in the common area for guests to use.||5. LOCATION: The location of the B&B is excellent if you are coming in by train as it is literally a 2 minute walk from the Ladispoli station. ||6. NOISE LEVEL: Even being so close to the train station, our room was incredibly quiet. It should be noted, however, that we were the only people staying at the B&B when we were there, so the noise level may be more of an issue with more guests.||7. SNACKS: Gladys provides wonderful stacks and bottles of water for guests to have at any time. This really is a nice touch.||8. ROOM: Our room was surprisingly big with plenty of storage space. It had a semi-private balcony (2 of the 3 rooms have a balcony + there is a balcony off the common room), a large comfortable bed and air-conditioning. What more could you want in Ladispoli in summer?||9. BATHROOM: A good bathroom with a surprisingly large shower - particularly for Italy! As someone who is 1.93 meters tall (6’4”), a roomy shower is much appreciated and somewhat rare in Italy, especially in more budget accommodations. ||10. FREE WIFI: Always a nice touch, and more importantly it’s free wifi with a secured password.||11. LATE CHECK-OUT: I doubt this would be possible if Gladys was extremely busy and had other bookings checking in, but if we had wanted, we could have checked out late in the afternoon. We actually needed to check out fairly early, but it was nice to know we could have stayed much later if we had needed to.||||CONS (All minor):||1. LOCATION: I know I said the location is a pro, and it is for the reasons I described, but if you are driving to the property, as we did, the location is a bit out of the way. The B&B is also in an apartment building in a residential neighborhood, so there really isn’t much in the immediate area.||2. PARKING: As I mentioned before, we were the only people saying at the B&B when we were there, and so got the last parking space at the apartment building where Quatro Passi is located. If, however, there were other guests, parking may or may not be an issue.||3. SIZE: While the bedrooms are big, this means that the common area/kitchen is a bit small. Again, this wasn’t a problem for us as we were the only ones there, but if the B&B is full, it may be a bit cramped for some people.||||PRO or CON (Depending on your needs)||1. LOCATION: Again, I mention location because the property is about a 15 minute walk through town to the beach - a primary reason to visit Ladispoli for some people. This may or may not be an issue for you.||||Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our one night at the Quatro Passi B&B, and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting or needing to stay in Ladispoli who is looking for budget...
Read moreThe good – The place is really great. The rooms are new, modern, well designed and sparkly clean. The A/C is perfect, the fragrance is amazing and in total (and especially when you consider the low price) it’s a perfect place to stay. ||The kitchen is shared but as the place has only 3 rooms it’s not over crowded. Gladis, the owner of the place, is super nice and helpful. In my case, she made the required phone calls and reservations for the late night bus ticket for my trip back to the airport. ||The breakfast is amazing – freshly baked croissants, fresh fruits, sandwiches and great coffee. During my last night I had to leave the place at 4am and Gladis was kind enough to give a significant discount for that night. You can just see how much she cares for her guests and the place she runs. Basically, I think that at least 50% of vibe of the place is Gladis herself. She doesn't speak English but translation app came to our aid and we had no problem communicating. ||||The not so good – The location itself. Although the apartments are about 2 min walks from the Ladispoli/ Cerveteri train station, the ride to Rome takes about 50 min (about 30 minutes to the Vatican). It’s not really a problem but when coming back from Rome in the evening and there is only one train an hour, it can be a bit annoying. The ride to the airport is even worse as even though the town is about 15 min ride from the airport, you’ll need about an hour and two trains to get there. Luckily, as I've stated earlier you can use the Alfatour bus during the night (from 4am) – 5 euros and 15 min drive and you are there.||If you don’t mind these small annoyances – This is most definitely a great place to stay. Can’t wait to come back! ||||TIP - Go down the street for 300-400 meters from the main entrance to the train station. Turn right with the road and after few meters you'll see a TIM store - Perfect place to buy...
Read moreThe B&B is situated in the beach town of Ladispoli, a town popular with holidaying Italians. The beach is only a short 15 minute walk from the B&B. Numerous restaurants, bars and cafés are close by. ||On arrival at the building (a block of flats) you may be a little taken aback but stick with it! The entrance hall/staircase is far from palatial however once the front door has been opened a bright fresh newly renovated complex is revealed. Our room with air conditioning was modern, immaculate and the bed comfortable. The room had a balcony with a table and chairs, and clothes horse (great for drying towels etc. after a day at the beach). The fridge in the kitchen area was stocked with complimentary refreshments which was a welcome touch. The continental style breakfast is more than adequate. Within an easy 30 minute drive to Fiumicino Airport this is a great place to stay for a stopover before catching a flight...
