During my recent trip to Milan, I had the pleasure of staying at the Sheraton Milan San Siro Hotel, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a treat. The hotel’s location is both convenient and serene, situated slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, yet easily accessible by public transport and taxis.
Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately struck by the modern and stylish design of the lobby. It was spacious, with plenty of seating areas, and the décor was a tasteful blend of contemporary chic and classic elegance. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, thanks to the courteous and professional staff at the front desk. They welcomed me warmly, provided all the necessary information about the hotel’s amenities, and even offered some excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions.
The room I stayed in was nothing short of spectacular. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and well-appointed with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with high-quality linens that made for a restful night’s sleep. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the welcome note and complimentary bottled water. The room also featured a large flat-screen TV, a minibar, and a coffee machine, which added to the overall convenience and comfort of my stay.
One of the highlights of my stay at the Sheraton Milan San Siro was the stunning view from my room. Overlooking the lush greenery of the surrounding area and the cityscape in the distance, it was a sight to behold, especially during sunrise and sunset. The large windows allowed plenty of natural light to flood the room, creating a bright and airy atmosphere.
The hotel’s facilities are top-notch and cater to both leisure and business travelers. I took full advantage of the fitness center, which is well-equipped with state-of-the-art machines and free weights. It was a great way to start my mornings and keep up with my fitness routine. The outdoor pool area is another fantastic feature, providing a relaxing oasis where guests can unwind and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Dining at the Sheraton Milan San Siro is an experience in itself. The hotel boasts several dining options, each offering a unique culinary experience. I had the pleasure of dining at the Silene Restaurant, which serves a delectable mix of local and international cuisine. The breakfast buffet was a particular highlight, with a wide variety of fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, and hot dishes to choose from. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable.
In the evenings, I enjoyed visiting the El Patio del Gaucho, the hotel’s Argentine steakhouse. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sides and sauces complemented the meal beautifully. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing.
Another noteworthy aspect of the Sheraton Milan San Siro is the exceptional level of service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered during my stay was friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Whether it was the housekeeping team, the restaurant staff, or the concierge, each interaction was marked by professionalism and a genuine desire to make my stay memorable.
Overall, my stay at the Sheraton Milan San Siro Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, excellent facilities, and outstanding service made it a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan, whether for business or leisure. It offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and elegance, and I look forward to returning on my next trip to this...
Read moreStayed here 5 nights on a business trip and a small holiday with my family and regretted it. Staff in this hotel are generally rude, unhelpful and very unwilling to assist guest even for the smallest of things and they will show their bad attitude in their facial expression and the way they talk back at you with raised voice and defensiveness. Everything is to troublesome for them, they should be ashamed of themselves as they do not deserve to work under the Sheraton brand as they lack pride, basic courtesy and hospitality as they see to forget that they are in the service industry.
From check in, no assistance was given to me with my bags, the staff just stood there and watched me and my wife unload bags carrying my child and did nothing. At the counter I stood there almost 3 minutes waiting for the two staff to check me in but they were busy chit chatting about what food they were going to have for lunch and left me standing there and giving me the occasional glance like I was spoiling their conversation. I guess they didn’t know I could speak some Italian.
In the room immediately noticed a lot of long hair on the floor from the previous guest that wasn’t cleaned, I can only imagine they didn’t vacuum, the floor is only carpeted under the bed so dirt and hair can be easily seen, floor felt dirty and could see lots of dust especially at the side and corners. Shower head had water leaking and spraying all directions, toilet bowl had stains and was really disgusting, room round table also had stains. I guess they don’t clean the rooms much. I asked for a bathrobe and some cutlery as we needed to feed our child, this took almost 45 mins to arrive and after 3 reminders it arrived but they wanted to charge me for the cutlery which I immediately turned rejected, I don’t think any other hotel does such things to charge guest for cutlery, so I went down to try to get it from the lobby bar myself but was told off rudely by the woman supervisor that they don’t provide cutlery even after I told her I had a child to feed she said no. Finally I managed to get a small teaspoon from the restaurant. On one of our return from outside, I asked this staff who was standing inside a room wearing a blue suit and had a very black face where the pool was, his reply was It isn’t here ! And he then slammed the door at our face. Couldn’t believe how bad his attitude was. Never expected this from a Sheraton Hotel and I was very applauded by his actions. Location isn’t great either, it’s very far from town, food and a proper supermarket is like 45 mins walk away and it’s also near the highway. Do...
Read moreUpon arrival, there were two long lines to check-in, which wasn’t an issue per se. I stood in the Elite line and it moved extremely slowly relative to the other line. The person the came after me was helped in the “other” line before I was helped in the Elite line. Still not an issue. What was disrespectful was the desk attendant at the Elite desk leaving with another guest, but not acknowledging me or letting me know she would not be back for a while. Since there was nobody at the Elite desk, I had to join the “other” line. My family was waiting for me outside with our luggage. It took so long to check-in, my wife texted me asking if I was “still alive.” Not the experience I was expecting from the start.
When we went up to our Executive Suite (1 Bedroom King with 2 rollout beds), I was disappointed with the layout given the rollout beds made the living area and dining table not usable. The condition of the furnishings and room needed some care. For example, inside of the entrance door had what looked like stains running down the door. The dining chairs were in poor condition. The sink drained poorly, causing us to have to wait between users for it to drain. Overall, the condition of the room did not meet my expectations for an Executive Suite at a 4-Star property.
The Club lounge was also disappointing and needed attention. The snacks were picked over and not replenished. The coffee bar needed cleaning, including milk leaking out of the container. This was another area that did not meet expectations, particularly for the Club lounge of a 4-Star property.
The breakfast was an opportunity for our stay to end on a good note before heading to the airport. Unfortunately, it was another area that fell short. We were the second group to be seated, which did go smoothly. The setup and signage of the buffet was not ideal. I could not go to the front of the line through the normal area because another family was clogging the area. I went around the back of the buffet, which I want to point out had no signage indicating not to walk through there. As I got to the front area, I did notice the sign and quickly got out of the area. That wasn’t enough for your maitre d’ who told me not to go back there. Maybe having a sign on the other side as well would have helped. Then there is the food itself. The bacon dish was empty; the eggs were inedible; the pork sausage was barely room temperature; and the coffee...
