Only worth the stay if you have a car to get into the city or if you have tons of money to invest in taxi service that they recommend AND if you speak Italian.
CONS: Far from city center, which if the public transport was easier to get to wouldn't be an issue (see next bullet point) or if we had a car. Uber was a bit cheaper than the taxis to get to and from metro but it still was ultimately pricey.
Reception recommended not walking to public transport as it is not a great area (area with some shady characters on the way to tram 12). Problem was that the shuttle service to the nearest metro station was not available from 12:30 to 17:30 and again shut down from 21:30 to 7:30 (overnight-- this makes sense). The shuttle is also first-come-first-serve so you have to book it in advance.
Locker rooms near fitness center out of order, so is the spa on site, maybe they should get rid of the previews of the spa on all of the screens throughout the hotel.
MAJOR ISSUE: Our room door was left open for at least one day while we were traveling out of town (I am thinking by the cleaning service). The door was not closed all the way allowing anyone who would have walked by to go in and rummage through our things. While we were fortunate that nothing appeared to be touched I was very UNSETTLED.
Reception in general did not treat us with the same respect as the other vacationers in the hotel (as we did not speak Italian). In my opinion if you are going to be in hospitality, don't treat the tourists with disrespect. I may not speak fluently but I understand enough to know when the front desk was talking about me and my travel partner.
They give you 8 hangers for 2 people and no drawers for your other belongings. No Iron in room - but they do have an ironing room on the first floor.
Pros: Breakfast was great with a great variety of items.
Cleanliness was spot on -- nice very modern decor.
Restaurant on site is good, though a bit pricey I didn't mind paying for the quality.
Staff had good recommendations for outside food nearby.
OTHER NOTES: We noticed that in our room after unpacking that we got had a major leak in the sink (we arrived on Easter so no one was working to fix the leak). The reception originally tried to move us to a smaller room than the one we were in: "This room will have a little less space but it's what you paid for in your booking" said the woman at the reception desk. After some back and forth as we were not compromising for less than what we had for a week's stay, we were moved next door to a room with a better view and slightly more space. Something rubbed us wrong that after an issue that was the hotel's problem, they tried to downgrade us. Not a con just be warned that there is no door on the shower City tax applies here too - 5...
Read moreWe checked into this hotel on the night of September 22, 2023, due to a work trip, and let me tell you, it was the absolute worst pit stop in all my business escapades. It's mind-boggling that we dropped a whopping 400 euros to stay at this dump!
From the moment we checked in, we experienced negligence and impoliteness from the reception staff. Despite our advance reservation, they refused to accommodate us for various reasons, making it impossible for us to rest in our exhausted state from our business journey.
During our interactions with the staff, the female employees displayed impatience towards us. After several rounds of negotiation, we were finally allowed into our room.
Upon entering the room, our disappointment grew. The actual room differed significantly from the photos, and the cleanliness was incredibly poor. The towels emitted a strong disinfectant smell, and the floors and pillows were covered in uncleaned hair. The toilet corners were filled with dirt. The power outlets by the bed were damaged, posing a safety hazard. There was no trash bin in the bathroom, and the showerhead leaked water all night, creating a disturbing noise that prevented us from sleeping.
Furthermore, the shower enclosure was situated right in the middle of the room, the glass was almost transparent, offering a front-row seat to your colleague's impromptu shower concerts. which was extremely awkward for colleagues sharing the room during a business trip. I would not recommend this hotel for any business traveler.
It's worth noting that the room did not provide toothbrushes, slippers, or bathrobes. The provided shampoo and shower gel were not single-use items, raising doubts about the quality and hygiene of these bath products in such dire cleanliness conditions.
We attempted to call the room service to request a toothbrush, but there was no response for a long time. We almost gave up, but close to midnight, someone finally answered. An Asian room service staff brought us toothbrushes and slippers, which was appreciated.
Of course, this hotel is not entirely without merit. The only noteworthy aspect is that the television in the room was functional, and the TV programming was...
Read moreGreat hotel for a family stay. Staff were all very friendly. Hotel has a great swimming pool, steam room and dry sauna. Changing rooms and lockers are available along with Towels provided in the swimming area for use on the poolside loungers. No need to take down your room towels.||Had a stocked mini-bar in the room which was reasonably priced.||Bottled quality water in the room.||Nice large restaurant serving until 10:30 pm.||Bar/pound menu available until midnight. I highly recommend the €8 Ham and Cheese toasted sandwich if you are not that hungry.||Two pinball machines in the lounge area and two pool tables which were great fun.||Spaghetti Carbonara is very nice.||Steaks in the restaurant are very nice.||Good breakfast choices with Omelettes also made to order. Plenty of breakfast seating and as you would expect for Italy, good Coffee selections!||The Hotel has a nice outside seating / smoking area next to a waterfall wall.||Taxis called from reception arrive within 5 minutes.||Things to consider:||It will cost you more to get into Milan Centre than it will to come back to the hotel. The standing charge for hotel pickup starts the meter rolling at €9 so getting into Milan Centre (Duomo) will cost around €30-€€40 euros. Taxi drivers do not use the fastest route or the SatNav. ||Returning to the hotel from Milan Centre will cost you €25-€30 as the pickup charge from a Taxi rank is only €4 to start the journey. Do not use Uber!! They are very expensive and frowned upon by the Milan Taxi Driver community!||Taking the Taxi from Malpensa to the hotel may cost around €125-€130 on the meter. There is a flat fee maximum charge from Milan to Malpensa of €114 which we paid even though the meter ran to €128. ||Don’t attempt to drag your kids on the Trains from Malpensa onwards to the hotel. It may be significantly cheaper but you will regret it especially at night as you have to walk a total of 25-30 minutes between stations and then on to the hotel. We did it on the way but my son is 18 so we coped.||In summary, hotel is great but the travelling from the Airport to the hotel and in and out of Milan Centre cost us €450 for a...
