Mastrojanni Relais — Hotel in Montalcino

I highly recommend Mastrojanni as a place to stay, explore, eat at and anything else while in Tuscany. For this trip, we traveled across many parts of the country and found our time here to be the highlight of the trip. The staff were incredible — the office staff helped coordinate months in advance and were extremely helpful with anything we needed, we leveraged the driver on the property who were both helpful and friendly, the restaurant staff were the best of the best. They took great care of us at every meal while serving great food and wine. The view from the property is unlike any I’ve seen before. We visited the town on Montalcino and wineries in the area (which are all great) but if you visit, I recommend leaving some time to simply relax on the property. The pool, scenery and everything are so nice, it would be a miss not to enjoy it all. I chose this property when we booked because they had great ratings and the pictures. All of which exceeded any expectations I had before arriving. You need to rent a car if you don’t mind driving but if you’d prefer not to, you can get a private transfer from Rome or Florence, then book the driver at the property to local places you want to visit. To us it was worth it not to worry about having a car and driving in an unfamiliar country. Other recommendations include.. -Tour at the Mastrojani winery (it’s a great one if you arrive much earlier than check in) Eat breakfast & dinners at the property as the menu flips around and stays fresh Get a bottle of wine and enjoy the outdoor area in the evenings Lay by the pool!
