Dimora dell'Arte — Hotel in Navelli

There’s no better word than “perfect” to describe this beautiful place.

A building where history and elegance live together. A place where country windows look like an impressionist painting. A room where the only sound you hear in the morning is a bird twittering.

We had the pleasure to stay one night and to meet host Francesca and her husband Diego, enjoying an amazing homemade dinner, full of local taste and Italian excellence. Their wines (Cantinarte) are delicious and if you are lucky, Diego will guide you for an exclusive wine tasting tour in his private seller.

This place is located in a little picturesque town, Navelli (famous for saffron) and it is a perfect starting point for walks around the region of Abruzzo.

They are a wonderful couple who made a little work of art!

We stayed here in May and had a truly memorable experience! The farmhouse is beautifully restored and is brand new with many modern amenities. Each room is unique and some have lovely painted frescoes on the ceilings-simply gorgeous! Our hosts were wonderful and incredibly warm and welcoming. We got to meet the whole family as they joined us in the evening to make our delicious dinners and sat to enjoy it with us! The meals were fabulous! We absolutely felt as though we were staying with family. It really made our trip extra special. We also enjoyed an olive oil tasting and a wine tasting-so fun! The medieval town it is located in is a really interesting place to wander around and explore. The nights are very quiet but, we enjoyed going to bed early and making day trips to some great local sites. All in all, I highly recommend a stay at...
