Azienda Agrituristica Il Roveto — Hotel in Noto

My husband and I were traveling in the Southeast but weren't sure whether to try an agroturismo or stay in a city. I'm so glad that we booked at Il Roveto. ||Because of booking late, we ended up in a large apartment that could have slept six. The advantage to this was that there was a separate entrance closer to the parking lot and a kitchen where we were able to cook. Two bathrooms is always convenient too!||We took advantage of the great location by hiking and swimming in Vendicari reserve as well as driving to the nearby towns for excellent meals. In the evening we enjoyed sitting in Il Roveto's quiet courtyard, drinking a bottle of wine and watching the geckos chase one another.||We so enjoyed our time there that we ended up staying...

Here you stay on a genuine agriturismo... first job is the oranges, lemons, olives and almonds, plus wheat and other crops. Davide is welcoming and happy to talk about the bio nature of the place, and walking to the nearby restaurant through the lemon grove was a highlight. This is not high end ... but everything is clean and functional. We had the loft room which we found a bit hot in early September, but we were able to sleep in the downstairs room which was much cooler. Delicious breakfast...

Ci sono stato a metà giugno. Il Roveto è parte di una grande masseria dove si respira l'aria di una Sicilia che può sembrare inaccessibile. E invece eccola qui. Dietro un grande portone: una corte e numerosi locali, una volta adibiti a scuderia, casa del fattore, granaio, etc., sono la dimora migliore per trascorrere alcuni giorni immersi nella natura e nella storia di queste terre.||I padroni di casa sono veramente cortesi. Rispecchiano lo stile di una famiglia che da tempo coltiva queste terre: mandorli, limoni, lenticchie. Sono appassionati alla semina e al raccolto tanto quanto al gusto dell'ospitalità.||Abbiamo dormito con una figlia nella scuderia. Un ambiente grande, fresco, veramente godibile. Abbiamo approfittato della colazione al mattino. Non rinunciatevi assolutamente! Latte di mandorla, marmellate, caffè, tortine fatte da Concetta, qualche frutto fresco, pane e burro, uova. Ogni giorno qualche cosa di diverso per iniziare bene la giornata.||Da qui si va agevolmente al mare, passando anche nelle piantagioni di mandorli e limoni. Ci vuole 15 minuti circa. La spiaggia di Vendicari dove c'e' la tonnara è bellissima. Per andare a Calamosca è meglio muoversi in macchina.||Volendo ci sono alcune bici a disposizione, senza costi aggiuntivi, degli ospiti.||Nelle vicinanze la Villa del Tellaro. Bellissima! Vicini sono anche Noto, Marzamemi e Siracusa. ||Non è il posto dove fare check in la sera e check out al mattino. Merita di essere...
