From the moment my partner and I arrived, it was clear we were in for a memorable experience. The hospitality at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. Every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth and went out of their way to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. You enter a gated large country estate overflowing with almond and lemon trees and warm friendly greetings. And your stay only gets better from there. A gracious and accommodating staff will assist with your daytrips and reservations. They bend over backwards to make your stay delightful. ||I believe there are only 14 rooms/residences available, but I strongly recommend the Eco-Suites with plunge pool and beautiful views of the property. Before booking, I considered their sister property in Noto (Villadorata Seven Rooms), but after checking with previous Country House guests (who insisted that because Noto was such a close and easy drive from Country House, it was far better to stay and experience the Noto countryside than to stay "in town"), we opted for the country. It was clearly the correct choice for us, as we loved the quiet, calm respite of Country House after day trips to Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Siracusa. ||I would strongly recommend the 8-course on-site dinner at Orti and the equally wonderful, but more casual, in-town Osteria Villadorata. Oh, and if you need a break from the full dinners you've been having throughout Sicily, take a break and enjoy great pizza and inexpensive Sicilian wines at the delicious, family-friendly pizza ristorante in...

The newly opened Countryhouse Villadorata is the beautiful country cousin of Christina Summa's 'Seven Rooms' in Noto. We have just returned from 6 days in this haven of tranquility and our only grievance is that we could not stay longer. Just a few kilometres from the baroque splendours of Noto and set within olive groves and almond orchards with views towards the sea this is a place to relax and unwind and find easy access to the beaches of the Vendicari Nature reserve. The CountryHouse feels truly unique. It enschews the cliches of the boutique hotel genre - you will not find a mini bar or health spa. Instead the warmth of all who work there spreads an atmosphere of well being. Not least is the talent of the chef who is able to compete with the best restaurants in Noto (yet my jeans still fitted when we left!) Benedetto the manager could not have been more helpful with his suggestions and directions for our various forays in the area. His in depth advice really made a difference to our holiday.
