We have been travelling around the world & stayed at many top luxury hotels in Asia where we live & in Europe, in addition, I have been in travel magazine for decades. We must say this is one of the best holiday we had,we had to forgo 3N in the seaside due to accident & we chose 4N of pure relaxing. Our room was nicely appointed with a Illy coffee machine, a separate closet room with a mini bar (refilled daily with complimentary water, coke, OJ, chips) & safe. While bathroom has shower & bathtub. I asked for a kettle for my warm compression on my ankle as it is not in the room but there are free tea bags…. We went to the pool daily, good size & quiet with a little cafe there for sandwiches & drinks(the waitress was sweet to give me a bucket of ice for my swollen ankle). We are entitled to 3 hr per day in the spa & wellness center which is well-equipped with steam, sauna, warm & cold shower & many types of jet water massage area in the pool plus lots of relaxing lounges. I had a 50 min massage as I had a sprained ankle falling from the bike & masseuist was very good is slowly massaging me to improve circulation as it is all swollen & black.|We had dinner at the 2 Michelin-starred restaurant, service was fantastic, love the storytelling of the sommelier of the people behind the wine. We had the €150 course without wine pairing (extra €90) as I had to take medicine. The dinner was very sumptuous (surprisingly for Michelin fusion styled restaurant), just appetiser was several course, main was great with beef & pigeon, risotto in mixed ingredients, dessert was again very generous & delicious with several dishes! The staff are working 3 shifts at breakfast, lunch & dinner (bistro or the restaurant) , hardworking, very friendly, very efficient, very professional. Breakfast is included in the rate & we always have cold cut, cheese, mixed fruit, brioche, all kinds of eggs, sausages & bacon, I think the breakfast could be improved with some options like avocado toast etc. We had asked hotel in advance to organise a car rental for a day & was delivered & picked up at the hotel. I love the fact the hotel has a whatsapp service, make it so much easier though all staff speaks good English, Italian & most likely ofter European languages. There is a gym outside the hotel, needs to get key from reception, 1 min walk, has one treadmill, one eliptical, one multi function Technogym, a few dumb bells but max is 10 kg, could be improved. There is meeting room next to it. Wifi is good except at the pool which is on & off. There could be few elect sockets easily reached in the room & hooks for towels in bathroom, otherwise we have no problem at all & definitely love to refer our friends here as it is only an hr from Torino. Looking forward to returning one...
Read moreWe had the pleasure to be the photographer of a wedding in July 2023 in this beautiful location. The wedding began with a wonderful get together on friday with a super delicious pizza buffet. The whole team was very welcoming and nice! We had a problem that had nothing to do with neither the wedding nor the relais, but the wonderful person at the reception was happy to help us anyways. The ambience of Relais Sant Uffizio immediately convinced us and we felt very comfortable! It was a total pleasure to accompany this wedding and the location offers many great opportunities to plan a wedding and the different spots make it easy to create highlights and memories. Saturday started with a pool party for all wedding guests. So everyone could enjoy the free wedding ceremony cooled down and relaxed. We were also present at the getting ready in two of the wonderful rooms. When it got dark, the romantic mood, the outdoor dinner setting decorated with fairy lights made the day perfect. We are looking forward to attending another wedding at this great location soon. Kudos to the entire team. Everyone was super friendly, present and the food was very very delicious. Thank you so much! Matthias &...
Read moreUnfortunately we woke up to ants in our luggage and bed on the first morning; It wasn't a lot since we didn't have any food in there, but it was a pretty big drag nontheless. We had also heard from our relatives next door had a cockroach. When we went to the front desk we were told that housekeeping would be alerted. However, after housekeeping came by, I asked and she had never heard anything about it.
That very night our room an an AC bust and leak all over the entryway, leaving us with no cooling for the night. We were told the next day that we could be downgraded to a different room 200m from our current one. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but we would have to leave our wedding party and pack everything to move it if we wanted help, keeping us from what we had travelled so far to attend. ONTOP of that, when we asked about just being given a discount or anything else instead of leaving the party so early, we were told that they'd have to ask a manager; Shortly after we were informed there was nothing they could give us. However, next morning we were immediately given a discount and late checkout.
That said, I just can't recommend this...
