Hotel Iris — Hotel in Pescasseroli

If you take into account that you are really in the heart of the national park of Abruzzo and in a small resort town named Pescasseroli, this hotel is really good for its category (3 stars). ||Staff is polite and gentle (they are very comunicative and friendly) and in such "raw" mountains area is very big plus. We already experienced other more expensive hotels and we didn't find such good service as here indeed.||Structure is a traditional wood/concrete house, quite lovely placed in countryside periferic area of Pescasseroli but not far from small center reachable by 10 min walk (strongly suggested to own a car to enjoy all surroundings). One negative thing is there are plenty of dogs in the nearby villas, some of them even a bit too much free to go out the fences, fortunately they seem friendly with tourists who walk next to.||Structure has simple fair to good woody bedrooms. Comfortable beds, nice flat screen tv, just toilet very small. We got a room with balcony and superb view.||We chose halfboard solution for our weekend and it was worth. Portions were abundant even above my capacity although I am a very good fork... Dishes are simple and traditional of the area.||In this hotel there is a nice swimming pool and garden both very relaxing during summer time. In the same area there is also possibilty to perform horse riding. We found real contact with nature and such place is perfect to relax yourself forgetting caotic life of our Rome. ||||Definitively we will return to that...

Situato alla fine di Pescasseroli l'hotel Iris ha tutte le caratteristiche dell'hotel di montagna con in più un'ottima piscina all'aperto immersa nel verde del proprio giardino provvista di lettini e ombrelloni, area intrattenimento mini club e tavolo da ping pong. Abbiamo speso qui 4 notti con tutta la famiglia e lo abbiamo scelto proprio per l'opzione piscina ed il trattamento di mezza pensione, non tralasciando che si trova in un'area protetta di bellezza indiscutibile.

Molto attenti alle prescrizioni anti Covid, abbiamo trovato estrema pulizia dappertutto. Adiacente all'hotel si trova un comodo maneggio dove é possibile prenotare delle passeggiate a cavallo. Le piste da sci sono a circa 1-2 km e a pochi km si può visitare il lago di Barrea e la città medievale. Bello e buono il ristorante che vanta di un ottimo servizio sia per colazione che per cena. Al piano -1 si trova un'area giochi per i piccoli con palline e quant'altro e un'area giochi per i grandi con videogiochi e tavolo da biliardo nonché un'accennata pista da ballo con angolo bar, anche qui si richiama molto uno stile anni 70. Ottimo il segnale Wi-Fi in qualsiasi punto interno ed esternno all'hotel, informazioni sui servizi dell'hotel con scansione di QR-code appeso in camera. Provvidenziale il piccolo ascensore per spostarsi fra i 4 piani seppur molto lento.

Poche le note negative che però influenzano molto il giudizio finale: personale (non tutto ma la maggioranza) poco loquace, a tratti freddino e serioso. Potrebbe andare bene per un hotel business, in un hotel per vacanza ci si aspetta relax e giovialitá. Il caffè al pasto non è incluso. 1€ al banco, 1.50€ se macchiato camere molto piccole e con arredi datati. 2 sedie per 4 posti letto, zero attaccapanni alle pareti, spazi limitati, bagno cieco seppur ben ristrutturato ma senza porta sapone o appendi asciugamano (si presuppone che il calorifero asciuga salviette sia sufficiente per asciugamani per lavandino, bide e doccia x 4 persone), no balconi al secondo e terzo piano che sarebbero stati utili per stendere i costumi/asciugamani bagnati o lasciare l'attrezzatura da sci in inverno, letto a castello richiudibile di fattura vetusta e con letto superiore non più parallelo al pavimento. poche prese di corrente per ricaricare i telefoni. Nessuna presa di corrente al tavolino che, per chi come me é costretto ad usare il pc anche in vacanza, é una vera seccatura. -TV posizionata a 2 m da terra, osservabile solo se a letto. minibar vuoto ma funzionante animazione...

Iris Hotel is an excellent 3Star hotel. The rooms are reasonably well equipped and comfortable if a bit basic. The restaurant is not brilliant. After eating there the first night we went out ever other night. Our stay was three nights.|Whilst the hotel was basic the staff and management were amazing. One of our number was taken ill whilst we were there but two of the staff took her to the local clinic and made sure she was seen, acted as interpreters and took them to the Pharmacy.|After this they helped us with restaurant choices and bookings and advised us on walks through the national park.|Go there the staff will make your stay in the Abruzzo national park a much...
