Masseria Le Torri welcomed me and extended family and close friends for a splendid weekend of Wedding festivities for my niece and her now husband. So many great memories were made here, a beautifully renovated farmhouse steeped in authentic tradition and made convenient with modern Italian styled design. I spent 3 nights in La Cappella which is graced with 17th century frescos over a sunken tub and at the same time offers a spacious modern shower made of stone with high quality soaps and amenities. There was plenty of room in this spacious suite where unbelievably comfortable beds were made with crisply ironed, gorgeous white sheets. The grounds were impeccably maintained and there was always one Corrado who was busily cleaning and working but never failed to show you the cherry trees where one could pick the ripe cherries. The Pizza dinner made in their outdoor pizza oven magically produced an abundance of terrific pizza which the staff so generously offered until we simply couldn't eat any more. The Proprietor, Massimo, kindly and proudly shares the history of his ancestor's early ownership and devoted working of the land. His lovely wife, Silvana, couldn't have been more gracious. One can purchase their olive oil and jams in the office which is well run by 2 people. But of course, where the Pugliese distinguish themselves is in their kindness and hospitality ... and in their food! And here is where we experienced the best of the best. Fabiana, Anna and Marino who took such good care of us each morning for our Breakfast Feast! Fabiana, who remembered how we each liked our coffees and who made the perfect cappuccino, was so accomodating and kind. Anna would always make sure we wouldn't miss the extra-special home-made delicacy that was nestled amongst numerous, equally impressive baked goods. The fresh nut assortment for the yogurt, the incredible burrata and and mozzarella, the tarts and jams all made there ... all this abundance of deliciousness was surpassed only by the lovely people of Masseria Le Torri. Thank you all for making our time...
Read moreIt took me a while to get around to writing this review because, let me be clear from the outset: this place is special. I wanted to make sure I could do it justice.
My husband and I chose Masseria Le Torri as the venue for our 2020 wedding reception. It was (quite strangely, given it was our wedding day) a last minute decision. We had to postpone our original date and wanted a smaller venue to fit our much smaller wedding party (downsized from 120 to just 12!). We visited the venue a few months before our big day and felt it was perfect, but still had some anxiety given the short planning period. We needn't have worried. If I had known then what I know now, I would have left everything (every. single. thing.) in Silvana's very capable hands. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by the lovely staff. And the venue itself is impeccable - lovingly restored interiors, with all the original features, roomy suites (the baths!), soft music playing, twinkling fairy lights. I much preferred the floral decor here to those I had commissioned and paid (heftily) for myself. The wedding dinner was one of the best meals of my life.
We stayed for the weekend with our guests and Le Torri hosted a pizza night for us the second night, which was equally perfect. Throughout our stay, my family kept gushing 'It feels like we're in a film. It just doesn't seem real'. It was such a special time, not just for our big day but all those stolen moments with family in a year where we didn't see each other enough.
I'll forever be grateful to Silvana and her staff for the effort they put in to make our wedding celebrations so perfect. We plan to go back to celebrate our anniversaries over the years whenever we can. Looking forward...

But the true stars of the show? The three resident cats, who wander the property like guardians of its magic. Especially Mow, who completely stole our hearts. Their presence makes the Masseria feel like home in the most charming way.
