B&B Maison Lazier — Hotel in Pontey

This facility on booking 9.3 does not reflect the reality, made up by people asked by the owner to put 10. I wanted booking to go and check but they cannot and ask for pictures…. Since is the first accommodation, I have left because could not stand it anymore here is my feedback:

We booked a room with a mountain view, garden view, river view. We were showed a room with no window.. The shower door was broken. The worse that cannot be described in pictures was the smell: musty, stale, stuffy and it stays with and you even when you leave the room, I slept between a towel and my private blanket that I had to wash immediately once I arrived home I did not want to stay, however since we paid and no reimbursement we decided to stay, and we asked if we can see the other room the owner agreed. At least we had few windows, yet exposed to the light on the street and with the light curtain, there was a lot of sun in the room. Perhaps for some people is fine. You are given a piece of shampoo-body washer which is all together and you can see that has been already used before, no idea if this is compliant with the hygiene with the post covid rules

The room looks like on the pictures, what is impossible to describe is the hygiene especially in the covid after phase when people want clean stuff. I think the blankets were not washed for a long time, once open there were some small residuals. No idea what. There was a strong urine smell in the bathroom near the toilet. And my skin was itchy after these few days.

We left before even without the reimbursement. The owner asked us to put a 10 score on booking, then you understand how you get in this TRAP.

I wonder how other guests do this and help to make the score to be so high, by creating a tourist TRAP. I really wanted booking to go and check this place, however it looks like they do not have this option so decided to write my opinion here.

Few more points: breakfast, perhaps some people enjoy the owner bla bla bla, some other people would rather enjoy the private moment when eating like me Strong smell of stuffy and the owner perhaps has not showered before preparing the breakfast (for me very weird to eat when smelling the armpits) There is no Wi-Fi, in case you give it like...

We stumbled across the romantic idyll of Maison Lazier by chance while trying to find somewhere else and a local lady recommended it. What a surprise! It is a completely hidden gem from any thoroughfare and you would never easily find it without asking as it cannot be seen from the road. This is self-contained accommodation in two separate units and a separate kitchen/dining area. It has been lovingly created as a replica alpine log cabin. The romantic unit for two which we stayed in is entirely wooden-clad with all sorts of old and interesting rural implements adorning it. We welcomed by father and son and it was the son who had built the holiday accommodation himself. Nothing was too much trouble for them and parking was next to the ‘Alpine log cabin’. The ‘best’ (and very reasonably-priced) pizzaria was a short walk away and to ensure we didn’t get lost the father accompanied us there. The views across the valley to the mountains were wonderful and we could easily imagine how this would be as wonderful in winter as it was for our passing stay...

La struttura è una casa dotata di stanza da letto con bagno privato, a livello estetico è a dir poco suggestiva. Tutta costruita in legno, e con il massimo rispetto dei materiali utilizzati. La struttura si trova immersa nei campi, con un fiume di fianco e con uno splendido giardino ricco di laghetti e verde, ottima zona per prendere il sole o rilassarsi all'ombra. L'Host della struttura è una persona a dir poco cordiale, da subito ti fa sentire parte de casa sua e ti sembra di conoscerlo da una vita. Mi ha colpito molto l'amore profondo che nutre per la sua struttura, amore che mi ha trasmesso descrivendo nei dettagli tutte le fasi della costruzione di questa splendida dimora, costruzione che ha seguito passo passo (vi spiegherà lui i dettagli, non voglio spoilerare). A livello di posizione la struttura è in zona centralissima, si riescono a raggiungere molto bene tutti gli angoli della Valle d'Aosta. L'alloggio e pulitissimo, e super silenzioso proprio perché inserito in una via interna. L'host é incredibilmente disponibile e flessibile e offre anche consigli sui luoghi da visitare (è un ex guida alpina). L'alloggio é fresco e non ha bisogno d'aria condizionata. Asciugacapelli disponibile, prodotti da bagno e biancheria pulita. Il prezzo è giusto. Considerata la stagione, la posizione, la pulizia e l'intimità che offre. Mega...
