Residenza Scorcio Sul Mare — Hotel in Porto San Giorgio

This remote hotel is absolutely lovely. Our room was huge, with beams on the ceiling and the bathroom was also very quaint with beams. The room also had a fridge and air conditioning in both the bedroom and bathroom, which were much needed. The breakfast provided was immense, but featured rather a lot of cake, rather than the usual continental breakfasts. They were very accommodating for my gluten allergy and provided special breakfast food for me, which was lovely of them. The hotel is also set in beautiful grounds, but, as mentioned, it is very remote. For a peaceful, relaxing holiday this place is absolutely perfect. Our only issue wasn't something the hotel could help - and that being the proximity to the beach. It stated it was a ten minute walk, but actually it was more like 30 minutes and it is down a huge hill, which in the searing heat was a nightmare to climb back up. We did enjoy our stay here very much, but I would not recommend this hotel for anyone looking to spend time on the Porto San Giorgio beach. Our only other issue was on arrival .. it said in our information to arrive before 3pm and we arrived at 2.15pm and spent 30 minutes wandering around the building trying to find someone or a reception. Nice B&B situated, as we understood; in an old farm in the hills above the village of Porto San Giorgio. It's situated in a big well kept park with flowers and trees and places to sit in both the sun and shadows. ||Big rooms, nice view of both seaside and countryside. ||Classic Italian breakfast, there were several different kinds of sweet cakes and they were good, and also bread, cheese, ham, salami, fruit, cereal etc., but for our taste, maybe a little to much focus on the sweet cakes. ||Overall a place to come back to.||||Unfortunately no restaurants in the close area, but there's just a 15 minutes downhill walk to the beach and a lot of pizzerias, trattorias, restaurants etc. It's a little harder walk home again, steep slope upwards will take you 20 minutes and part of the pizza or whatever you had to eat will be used as energy and disappear. Depending on your preferences, that's something good, but we prefer to have a car when stay at this B&B and at least use it some evenings when visit the village. Non amiamo fare recensioni, siamo una coppia giovane sui 30 anni che ci adattiamo spesso alle strutture che troviamo... ma questa dovevamo proprio farla ... Tenetevi alla larga da questo posto.. !!!!||Non è assolutamente quello che ti aspetti di trovare dopo aver visto le foto che vedi nel sito .. camera sporca, bagno con ragnatele di mesi.. asciugamani sporchi...copriletto pieno di peli di cane e forse anche altro .... Cuscini con capelli .... La stanza che ci hanno dato dava sul retro della struttura e appena aprivi i balconi ti trovavi una caldaia che faceva rumore continuamente vecchissima , e un cassone delle immondizie... Colazione normale ..il servizio spiaggia, ci avevano detto che era a disposizione dell'albergo ,una struttura il quale bastava chiamare e chiedere un ombrellone e dire che alloggiavi allo scorcio sul mare.... Appena arrivati, chiamiamo e ci viene risposto che gli ombrelloni sono tutti prenotati per altri clienti non dell'albergo.... Ogni cosa scritta o che vedete nel sito e pubblicità ingannevole!!!! ......... Ovviamente dopo aver fatto notare che la camera era sporca , non c'è stato il minimo interesse nel pulirla...xké dovrebbe essere pulita una camera che ospita altre persone...?? Da dimenticare e da sconsigliare.||L'unica nota positiva e il punto in cui si trova, abbiamo visitato infatti tutti i paesi limitrofi da Ascoli piceno a Fermo , Loreto ... Tutto stupendo .. ma dopo aver visitato e qualche giorno al mare in altre strutture lontani da quel posto siamo scappati con qualche giorno di anticipo e ci hanno fatto pagare il prezzo pieno scontandoci solo mezza giornata. ... Incredibile... Attenti c'è un unico stendino per stendere gli asciugamani da spiaggia, se arrivate tardi,non c'è modo di farli...
