Hotel Continental — Hotel in Pozzallo

Our first stay was January 2013- one night||Second stay August 2013- one night and we were 2 families in two rooms||Third stay September 2013- two nights in two rooms(3 persons)||I am very shocked to read these comments. We travel all around the world regularly in very good hotels. This hotel we chose it on our first stay because it had very secure parking and our car was very safe. We always had spacious rooms, the rooms were very clean, everything was always top. We ate very good dinners. It is family run and the father is so friendly and helpful and will do everything to help. During the last two stays we ate very good food. The recommanded food and wine was excellent.||The price is not on the expensive side.||We do not complain but there will be people who will complain and very difficult to please like the ones who left bad comments.||All i can say is that we went there three times even whn it was very very busy and took four other friends there who were alway 100%happy with everything.||On our last stay, our friend was in a single room and he was very impressed with the quality and vale for money. I must add that this person owns a good a la carte restaurant and he knows good service when he sees it!!!||I would be much happy if thy have internet by wifi. A settembre abbiamo deciso di trascorrere una notte a Pozzallo presso questa struttura per 2 adulti e 2 bambini. Prenotazione fatta al telefono con il proprietario poco cortese che stranamente chiedeva di richiamare per conferma alcune ore prima del nostro arrivo. Giunti sul posto non abbiamo trovato nessuno in reception e dopo vari tentativi, riusciamo a parlare con un inserviente che ci invita ad aspettare il proprietario che arriva dopo 10 lunghi minuti. Al suo arrivo, non saluta e non ci spiega nulla su come passare il nostro soggiorno lì (orari piscina, colazione, ecc.) Infine, ci fa presente che nonostante le specifiche della prenotazione può darci una camera con soli 3 letti anziché 4. Con grande stupore facciamo presente che la prenotazione era per 4 persone e che ci era stato risposto che non c’erano problemi in merito. Alla fine, riusciamo ad ottenere con non pochi problemi la camera quadrupla (bastava spostare un lettino, come poi è stato fatto). La camera si presentava squallida, il bagno sporco, con rubinetto tappato e per finire la caldaia non funzionava. Per fortuna, la notte è passata in fretta e come ciliegina sulla torta l’indomani a colazione abbiamo trovato una situazione veramente triste con un assortimento che rasentava il ridicolo. Cibo non adeguatamente coperto, mosche che ronzavano attorno ai tavoli, salumi e formaggi non freschi e maleodoranti, nemmeno l’ombra di quello che veniva proposto sui siti di viaggio. Infine, una volta finito il soggiorno, richiedo la fattura e la mia richiesta viene accolta con poco entusiasmo. Riesco a fornire i dati, provando nei giorni successivi a capire se la fattura fosse stata emessa o meno. Vengo rimbalzato diverse volte finché durante l’ultima telefonata vengo preso ad insulti e il proprietario mi chiude il telefono in faccia senza più farsi vivo. Unlike many other places of Pozzallo this Hotel has plenty parking space and parking is free of charge. Otherwise the place appears to be dubious. People wearing dark glasses visit the owner and request to view his business ledgers in the evening. Suddenly the police has a meeting in this place.
