Our stay was pleasant, but not extraordinary. Not sure why this hotel is marketed as 4-stars, as it is lagging behind even lower category hotels in terms of amenities, room equipment and client centricity. Our room was located on the ground floor, with direct access to the pool. It was quite minimalistic but clean and well maintained. However, except for the two complementary bottles of water there was nothing in addition. No complementary coffee or tea, not even a kettle to boil water. It would be also nice to include information about local points of interests or restaurants, or at least the menu for the hotel's restaurant. In addition, the wifi connection was slow and unstable. The pool is not heated so its suitable for swimming during warm months only. There is also no service by the pool. During our entire stay no one ever asked us if we need anything or if everything is fine. The receptionist also didn't make us feel welcome as she was just too formal and without a hint of a smile. The opposite needs to be stated about the cleaning and restaurant staff who were very efficient and friendly. Both the dinner and breakfast were a pleasant surprise. The food was tasty and well prepared and a good value for money. The breakfast was actually plentiful and varied. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but this we didn't mind as we had a rental car. Overall, we felt that the owners/management are just doing the bare minimum and not trying or caring enough. From a hotel of this category we simply...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I Stayed here for a week. |Upon arrival at this hotel we were given a room right onto the pool - perfect. The room was clean and the view onto the pool lovely. ||Unfortunately the mattress was a little hard and both myself and my boyfriend found our backs a little sore toward the end of the week - not ideal, however, it wasn’t to any extent that it put a downer on the holiday at all. ||The breakfasts contained a nice choice - some very good croissants! ||We ate lunch at the hotel twice during our stay - both times the food was delicious!!||On a couple of occasions I did request something from the bar to which I wasn’t able to get. However I’m not entirely sure of the reason as|our Italian is extremely poor (and some of the staff didn’t speak any English). But I did take the menu and point out what I would like (eg iced coffee, granita) and each time the response was no, although I never managed to found out why it was apparently unavailable. ||The pool during the week was very quiet and most of the time you could have it all to yourself! Then the weekend came and it was extremely busy (lots of children). So if definitely recommend going in the week for a...
Read moreHaving spend 4 days at this hotel, would like to to state that we found this hotel very comfortable and clean . The staff were very help full and the bedroom very large with an outside door leading to the verandha outside facing the back garden. The bathroom is very clean and with enough space to move around. The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from there was even scrambled eggs and beacon which is not normal for Italian hotels.
The swimming pool is large and .plenty of sunbeds around it.
It takes only 10 mins by car from the centre and same distance from the harbour.
In the centre of town there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from .Parking is on site and safe . there is wiffi free in the hotel. While staying there we took the opportunity in visiting Ragusa and the Belvedere commercial park near Syracuse which is about 25miles from the Hotel.each way
We found this Hotel value for money and an excellent place to spend a few relaxing days away from the the noise of traffic. Would recommend this hotel to all those staying Pozzallo for a few days especially those Maltese and others who will travelling by...
